Les Ombres de Lune Shadow by Givenchy
“Lune” is “moon” in French. The latest from Givenchy celebrates and inspires beauty from the romantic moon with Les Ombres de Lune Shadow and Light Eyes. The limited edition shadow duos offer a multi-tasking, illuminating and smokey eye miracle in a lovely, half-moon design that reminds me of something the master architect, Frank Lloyd Wright would have designed. Although these are too modern to have been by Wright, he’d still appreciate their beauty and symmetry.
These Givenchy beauties, however, are by Designer Nicolas Degennes. He created these Fall/Winter must-haves to use as an all in one for cheeks, eyes and complexion. Two chic, square compacts iconic to Givenchy, hold a deep shadow, and an illuminating one. “#1 Lune Mysterieuse” pays homage to the mysterious moon, with a smoky black shadow, and a larger piece with pearly, white highlights. “#2 Lune Mordoree” (roughly translates to “bronze moon”). It features golden highlights with a blue as deep as the night sky. Three mini applicators, one flat, one pointed, and an angled brush, make it easy to create different looks.
