Morgan Taylor Botanical Awakenings Spring 2016 Nail Lacquer Collection: Celebrate the first blooms of Spring!
This week I was walking around, and to surprise and delight, the crocuses, the daffodils, the dogwood trees, and even some hyacinths, were blooming. The purple, white, yellow and pink colors were so cheerful! It reminded me that even if we still have to endure a stray chilly day, Spring is officially here, at last!
I’m celebrating the first blooms of Spring with the absolutely beautiful Botanical Awakenings Spring 2016 Nail Lacquer Collection from Morgan Taylor. This limited edition collection offers three pinks shades in different formulas, each with different personality, plus a sassy pearly berry red, and a light and sheer taupe with a pink cast, plus deep taupe with a mauve-ish vibe.

The 6 Shades of the Morgan Taylor Botanical Awakenings Collection (from left to right):
Rose-y-Cheeks is an iridescent pink that can be worn as a sheer or with two coats it’s a medium-light pink with tons of highlight and shine.
Warm-Up the Car-nation is a bright crimson that covers well in one coat but adds more intensity and a hint of perle, with two. My press material calls this Magenta, but in reality it’s a deep rose red, not a true magenta.
What’s Your Pointsettia? Is a deep, rich, metallic berried red. My press material called this polish crimson red pearl, but on my fingernails it looed much more like a berry than a red. the metallic really stands out with a couple of coats.
Don’t Pansy Around is a hot pink opaque creme. It’s bright and will be perfect for sandals season. Try at least two coats for maximum effect.
Prim-rose and Proper is a very light taupe creme. It’s quite sheer so if you want a nude look, this is an easy and chic way to get it.
I Or-chid-You Not is also a creme that can take two coats easily, and leaves your nails with an oh so creamy, opaque deep taupe that has a lot of mauve in it. It’s just lovely for now, and you’ll wear it in the Fall as well.
All of these shade are quite beautiful, and long lasting with tons of shine. They also dry quickly.
