The name “Essentials” gives away what this collection is — a line of high performance products with fast-acting and mild formulas. Its unique formulas have Morgan Taylor’s Bio-Organic Complex .
We’re not salon owners, but we know that professional products help us make our at-home manicures even better. So we tried a few of these pro products.
Strip Ease is a super-easy to use nail lacquer remover. When it comes to dark colors and glitter lacquers, some nail polish removers simply won’t budge them. It has a Bio-Organic Complex with Panthenol ( a vitamin and mineral complex) that gets rid of the polish. It also creates a protective coating around the skin’s keratin protein structure so it doesn’t dry our your cuticles, skin and nails. The purple tinted remover has a strong smell to do a big job and it does it beautifully.
No one wants to wait around for nail polish to dry, but not all quick dry formulas work well, leaving you with bumps or smudges. The Morgan Taylor Accelerate Quick Dry Nail Spray ($19.00 4 fl. oz.) arrives in a handy pump bottle and a few spritzes makes your mani or pedi dry to the touch in just 60 seconds. If you want to really be sure your nail lacquer is dry, it will do that in about 8 minutes.
Morgan Taylor Accelerate Quick Dry Nail Spray can be used with any nail polish, but take note: it’s made specifically to be used with Morgan Taylor top coats.
Tip: If you don’t like a spray bottles or want something smaller for travel, Accelerate also can be purchased in a quick dry Nail Drops 0.3 fl. oz. bottle. It’s small enough to drop into a beauty bag, large enough to last for months.
If you don’t want hangnails, you want your manicure to look better and your nails to be healthier, you really should be using a cuticle oil. Remedy Renewing Cuticle Oil by Morgan Taylor is one of the “essentials” in the Essentials collection.
The blend of Anti-Oxidant Grapeseed, Vitamin E, Sunflower and safflower oil to moisturize and protect your cuticles. It protects the hydrogen and salt bridges which help to maintain the skin’s optimum moisture. The dropper bottle makes it easy to use.
Upgrade your Manicure With REACT Base and Top Coats:
When we hear about something truly new, we’re excited! The REACT top coat and a base coat from Morgan Taylor promise super shine and wear without investing in new color polish.
If you read our reviews regularly, you have seen reviews of the very popular GELISH and GELISH minis (gel polish products) that are cured with a LED Curing Light.
REACT top coat and base coat uses a patent-pending Gelish Infused Technology cures with natural light and that bonds with nail lacquer for up to 10-days of wear.
The REACT Base Coat helps the color stick to your nails, while the REACT Top Coat seals your mani pedi with a high shine protective finish.
Obviously, REACT was created to work best if you use them with a Morgan Taylor polish. However, the products work with any polish. We purposely did not use a Morgan Taylor polish. We used a polish we know that chips easily to see how well the REACT products work.
Does REACT Really Work?
In our tests, the REACT base coat dried quickly and created a smooth canvas for our nail polish. The REACT top coat gave our nails a high wattage shine, which lasted for days. The nail polish that usually chips in a day lasted a few days longer as well.
Another plus is that although the polish has Gelish technology, you don’t need to soak it off when you’re ready to remove it. A normal nail polish remover will do it.
You need both base and top coat to bet the right REACTion, and at $11.90 each it is a bit of an initial investment. But if you want to save time and give your nails fabulous shine it is worth it. Also, you can justify the cost if your mani pedi lasts longer which means a few less trips to the nail salon.
