Monday morning I rushed to get to my Zerona Laser treatment on time, only to have some guy literally stick his foot into the elevator door, jamming it. When I finally got down to the subway level, my train was just pulling out of the station. Another train didn’t come for 20 minutes.
I ran from 7th to Madison, and five block down, to get there on time. When I arrived, I was told that one of the women who administers the laser treatments had pulled her back while moving, so they were short-staffed and behind schedule. But about 20 minutes later I was back in the room with the Zerona Laser, getting ready for treatment #4. I was not feeling calm, but I was eager to get this treatment after the weekend.
Weekends are challenging for me as I’m not eating alone in my office. My husband loves good food and wine, and it can be a struggle not to indulge too much when he’s making suggestions that we should go for ice-cream, or eat out in a restaurant where I know the food will be salty and fattening with few healthy options. When we met our friends for brunch, however, they noticed I looked thinner. So I felt empowered and obligated to keep taking the supplements and drinking tons of water, and making healthy food choices.
Today, I noticed I am a bit “puffier,” which probably is due to the restaurant food I ate over the weekend, but my pants are still less tight, and that’s pretty amazing. I know I have only two more treatments to go. I don’t know that I’ll really lose the 3-6 inches that most people supposedly lose. My body doesn’t want to listen and react! But I hope I will lose at least another inch. Better Body Solutions offers the guarantee that if someone doesn’t lose at least 3″ in 6 treatments, they will offer them another 3 treatments. I hope I just lose the additional 2″ and I’ll be very, very happy!
But if nothing else, I feel like the Zerona Laser is finally making me focus more on what I need, and what my eating habits really are like. I haven’t had many carbs, and I realize that carbs are what I crave on a daily basis. If I wasn’t doing the Zerona Laser treatments I wouldn’t be taking vitamin and herbal supplements, yet I think they have been very helpful in making me feel more energetic. And, while the Zerona Laser isn’t truly “lipsosuction” (in lipo the fat cells are sucked out and removed from the body, while the Zerona Laser simply shrinks them down), it might just be enough to make me want to continue eating better.
I still have two more treatments this week. Then, probably, I’m through and ready to report the final results. I am a bit discouraged today because while I do see a difference, like everyone else, I’d love a miracle. While I don’t believe that the laser treatments will shrink my body three dress sizes, I know I’ll be slimmer than when I started, and that’s a good thing. It appears that the laser works best if you need to squeeze into a special gown and you don’t want to starve to death to do it, or if you have just one or two stubborn places where fat on your body just won’t budge with diet and exercise. But we’lll see…the jury is still out!
