If you’ve never read the classic Mythology Timeless Tales of Gods and Heros by Edith Hamilton, you’re missing a fascinating read. However, the brands I’m reviewing below are not books. Yet they’re more than beautifiers. Interestingly, both are (loosely) related to Greek Mythology. Let them bring out your inner Goddess!
Orpheus Resurrection Skincare:
Orpheus was a legendary figure in Greek mythology and most stories about him are centered on incredible musical talent which he used to try and get his wife Eurydice out of the underworld.
However, Orpheus Resurrection skincare doesn’t have quite the same mythology. However, the products contain an Orpheus Flower Cell Peptide Complex.
The Orpheus Flower (it’s not a myth)!
According to mythological stories, the Orpheus flower is said to have been created from Orpheus’s tears when he lost his wife to the underworld. In reality, the Orpheus flower is the resurrection flower. This flower can be completely dehydrated and it will return to a green state with a single drop of water.
The Orpheus Flower Cell Peptide Complex:
Bring out your inner goddess with the Orpheus Flower Cell Peptide Complex that’s in these products. The complex has three concentrated bioactives including resurrection flower extract, Bengal flower cells, and nicotiana flower tri-peptide.
This proprietary complex is also blended with antioxidants, botanicals, and vitamins to increase natural collagen and elastin production while decreasing the look of deep wrinkles.
It’s nice to know that Orpheus uses “clean biotechnology born from a flower but powered by science” to provide high-performance skincare that doesn’t harm you or the environment.
Dynamic Duo:
There are two products: the Orpheus Resurrection All-In-One Serum and the Resurrection Bio-Luminous Dewy Essence. The packaging in frosted glass bottles (one with pump top the other with a spray top) is pretty to look at.
These are good for all skin types with no toxins, synthetics, mineral oil, petroleum, artificial fragrance, or colors. However, at $125 for 1 Fl. oz of Orpheus Resurrection All-In-OneSerum, you want to really know that the product will benefit your skin. This all-in-one clean and organic serum stimulates natural collagen creation and DNA repair in a silky, light-weight formula.
How It Works:
Over time, the serum, supercharged with anti-wrinkle peptides, advanced vitamin C, and anti-stress wild indigo should improve the skins’ elasticity as wrinkles become less apparent.
For a pick me up any time, to protect and add a slight glow to your skin, try the Orpheus Resurrection Bio-Luminous Dewy Essence/ This too, acts as an active serum. Dual hyaluronic acid is super hydrating, while a cocktail of vitamins (C, E, B3, B5) refreshes and refines pores. I like to use it to set my makeup and refresh my skin during the day, especially in humid weather.
It’s not “myth. Orpheus Resurrection skincare can really benefit your skin with their dynamic skincare duo! For more information visit the Orpheus Skin Website.
3 Graces Lip Colors:
In Greek mythology, The Three Graces were goddesses of such things as charm, beauty, and creativity. They are said to be daughters of Zeus and Hera. However, 3 Graces Beauty isn’t just a nod to Greek mythology. In fact, It’s a clean beauty company. The brainchild of the makeup line 3 Graces Beauty is makeup artist Coleen Kirck. She puts an inspirational message on the lip colors. Therefore you’re always reminded of something positive.
Botanicals:
The products use botanicals (according to the press information. It’s exciting that the Radiant Lip Gloss is the first lip product to feature organic Moringa Oil. This is a superfood skin ingredient. However, it is also good to know that the lip glosses are also cruelty-free and free of parabens, sulfates, fragrances, phthalates, or synthetics.
For skin-loving benefits, the lip glosses include a serum of organic oils, naturally sourced butters, and a vitamin complex that hydrates and repairs. I like a super shiny sheer gloss that you can layer for more color, and these, deliver!
The Colors:
There are 7 colors of 3 Graces Radiant Lip Gloss. I tried two: 106: a classic peach with the inscription: “Rise up. Take courage. Do it.” 103 (True red) leaves a bit of red gloss, which is great for those who want to try red but might not want to go all the way to bold opaque. Its inscription reads: ” Rejoice Today and be Glad.”
However, the other colors are also sheer, super shiny, silky, and layer-able with different inspirational sayings. I can recommend these because of the quality. But the inspirational message help you feel good as much as you feel beautiful. That could be priceless! For more information visit 3 Graces Beauty.
