Native makes deodorant, body wash, toothpaste, bar soap, gift sets and even some uniquely scented deodorants for teens. Their tag line is: Take Care of Your Body. It’s The Only Place You Have to Live. This brand with clean white unisex packaging never tests on animals.
What I really like about Native is that they use safe ingredients you probably have heard of (e.g. Coconut Oil; Tapioca Starch; Baking Soda; and shea butter) and all of them are listed on the back of the packaging.
There’s no aluminum, parabens or sulfates. This is particularly important because Native makes among other things, a lot of deodorants and some ingredients can really irritate your underarm area.
You can purchase items individually, or in really affordable gift sets. The one I tried was the fresh scented and unisex Cucumber and Mint. You’ll get 1 deodorant, 1 body wash, 2 bar soaps, and 1 mini deodorant nicely boxed for gifting and it’s just $30!
This gift is also available unscented, or Citrus & Herbal Musk; Coconut & Vanilla; Eucalyptus & Mint; and; Lavender & Rose. There are also seasonal scents such as Powder & Cotton; Blackberry & Green Tea; Vanilla & Sandalwood and; Cypress & Ginger.
Native is introducing customized items. For now, it’s just the deodorant. You just take a quick quiz and Native will customize a hand poured deodorant for you.
I only tried one fragrance, the Cucumber and Mint, which will be great for warmer months. You can smell the fresh cucumber, but there’s just a hint of mint (not overpowering).
Deodorant appears to be the star product. However, the body wash and soaps are lovely and so affordable as a little luxury you can indulge in every day.
The deodorant kept me odor free and dry for the most part, but a lot of this depends upon your body chemistry.
I like that it doesn’t stain your clothes or leave white streaks. However, using a natural deodorant and simple skin care is a personal choice.
Free Shipping/Subscription Plan:
Native offers free shipping and even the cost of returning an item if you don’t like it. There is a subscription offer to receive product every couple of months automatically. If you love a product and want to continue purchasing it, this might be an option. For example, the Body Wash is $10 but it’s just $8 on the subscription plan.
The Bottom Line:
if you are someone who insists upon natural products, it’s a slam dunk to “go Native.” You can find Native skincare products on their website https://www.nativecos.com/ and in Target stores.
