Find a New Fragrance to Love
It is unusual to find a collection of five fragrances and love one more than the next.
Remarkably, that’s just what happened when I visited NaturaBrasil Soho store in NYC and discovered the five new fragrances in NaturaBrasil’s Eau de Parfums collection called “Collages.”
Instead of following a traditional fragrance pyramid, each fragrance in the Collages collection is a “collage” of specific notes, designed so that the user can experience unique aspects of travels through Brazil.
The fragrances are $95 for 1.7 fl. oz./each.
Unique and Distinct
Each of the fragrances is quite unique and not at all a stereotypical scent. Every single one makes you inhale and think about what you’re feeling. Yes, they do evoke emotion!
TERRA (an earthy blend of rare woods, delicate white flowers and sheer vanilla musk soft and comforting). This is a really nice fragrance for Fall, earthy and warm.
MADEIRA BRANCA (woody & contemporary scent inspired by Brazillian architecture with precious woods, spicy black pepper, and musk).
NECTAR (soft & romantic evoking the scent of fresh cut grasses, with florals, succulent blood orange, and warm liquid amber). I think men will like this fragrance as much as the ladies.
JACARANDA (fresh & spicy thanks to blue flowers of the Jacaranda tree and hints of papyrus, rose and grapefruit)/
ANGELICA (mysterious & seductive-Angelica is the Brazilian name for Tuberose and it’s combined with mandarin and aquatic flowers).
Natural and Organic
NaturaBrasil is staying quiet about the noses (perfumers) behind the scents. at least for now.
The company doesn’t specifically bludgeon you with the notion that they’re natural or organic but it’s good to note that the fragrances are 100% organic and the packaging features recyclable materials.
Fabulous Natura Brasil Skincare:
Ask women in Brazil what’s in their handbag, and they’re very likely to pull out a tube of Natura hand cream. That’s how popular Brazil’s largest cosmetics manufacturerr is.
The reasons are many, but most importantly, Natura Brasil products feature unique fragrances and ingredients all done with an eye to sustainable and responsible production.
Unique Ingredients
Some of the ingredients include exotics refreshing Pitanga, restorative Patua, hair-loving murumuru, soothing maracuja and Copaiba, and calming Andiroba. There are also some favorites such as acai, and cacau. You can check out all the ingredients that NaturaBrasil uses and learn why they are good for your skin
Serious Skincare
Aside from attractive packaging and beautiful scents and formulas, it’s serious skincare. For example, the Advice Sisters reviewed the NaturaBrasil CHRONOS Age Positive Skincare (see review) in May. Natura Brasil created this skincare to address skincare in a personalized way that fits your age and your skin.
This time I tried the skin-soothing Maracuja Triple Phase Shower Oil and Whipped Body Mousse (super great for dry skin), and Acai Body Scrub and the Patua Restorative Hair Oil.
Luxe Body Products
Body products should leave you feeling pampered and NaturaBrasil’s products deliver. The skincare products had beautiful fragrances along with ingredients that treat your skin to truly enhance it. Even better, they are luxurious but at affordable prices for spa-worthy experiences at home.
When it comes to oils, they’re on trend, but some leave your skin and hair with so much residue, you feel like you need to wash all over again. Not true when it comes to the hair and body oil products from NaturaBrasil. The Patua Restorative Hair Oil, for example, smells so fresh it’s a joy to use (especially if your hair is a bit “stale”) but it also strengthens, absorbs quickly, and adds shine and fighting frizz in just a few tiny drops.
Triple Phase Oils ($2/26.7 fl. oz.)
Patura Restorative Hair Oil ($25/33 fl. oz.)
Maracuja Whipped Body Mousse ($24/7 oz.)
Acari Body Scrub ($25/7 oz.)
In Conclusion:
NaturaBrasil is a unique brand in so many ways.
For those who care about sustainability, natural skincare, vegan products, and unique ingredients, NaturaBrasil ticks of all the boxes.
The company works with communities in the Amazon rainforest (educating locals on best practices and business acumen) to sustainably source exotic Amazonian ingredients.
The brand even offers some amazing colorful, hand-woven makeup bags (by local women). I promise that when you see these you’ll immediately want them!
