There is so much being said about natural and clean beauty products and I keep getting more of them to try. But are these skincare brands really good for your skin? Loli Beauty, Olive Natural Skincare, and Loumi Skincare are three brands I just tried. Here’s what I learned about them:
Zero waste superfood beauty and eco-friendly. I was shocked to see in the brands’ “we don’t have” list that Loli Beauty is slavery-free. I should think so! However, what they mean is that they employ fair trade practices so they’re not taking advantage of people. That’s nice. The brand is also pure, gluten-free, organic, and lots of other good stuff. You can see what’s in it and what isn’t in it on every item.
In my photo above you will see the three products of the Combo Skin Travel set. The products cleanse, tone, hydrate + treat combination, oily or blemish-prone skin. Powered by superfood, upcycled organic ingredients (naturally) and no synthetics, toxins, or nasties, including sulfates (SLS and SLES), parabens, phthalates, or pesticides. Fragrance-free. Non-GMO. Packaged sustainably in recycled, recyclable, reusable, and home compostable materials.
I like mini sets because they allow you to try different types of skincare without committing to a full size right away. In this kit, there is a bottle of Blue Cornflower Tonic Deluxe Mini. This micellar product with tea seed oil, chamomile, and blue cornflower is applied with a cotton puff or I guess a microfiber cloth. To de-puff eyes, moisten two pads with Blue Cornflower Water and place one over each eyelid for 10 minutes. For extra sensitive skin or next-level soothing, store the bottle in the refrigerator, or chill moistened pads in the freezer for 30 seconds before applying.
– Tea Seed Elixir Deluxe Mini is a balancing beauty oil. Not all facial oils are created equal. This one absorbs quickly without any residue and leaves a nice sheen on your skin. Asa a facial oil, it’s lovely.
The Aloe Blueberry Hydrate + Treat was so pretty in its faceted jar, I thought it might actually be jelly. But it’s a jelly-like liquid. It is dripping and it takes a while to absorb which I didn’t love. However, afterward, my skin felt much softer. For that, I give it a thumbs up. This skincare product really does have blueberry fruit in it along with aloe leaf juice, glycerin, organic alcohol and xanthan gum.
Loli Natural skincare suggests using Aloe Blueberry Jelly on sunburns or bug bites for a cooling sigh of relief (even better if you refrigerate it first).

Olive Natural Skincare:
If you think olives are a part of Olive Natural Skincare, you’d be correct! This affordable, certified NATRUE natural skincare line is produced in the New Zealand countryside, on the country’s largest privately-owned olive estate. So olive extract is one of the main actives.
Recently the brand announced a zero-carbon certification from the Ekos agency in New Zealand. The Ekos Zero Carbon certification ensures that the operation has measured and offset 100% of its CO2emissions. Olive Natural Skincare is also water neutral in its manufacturing practices and the brand has recyclable packaging.
In my photo above you will see some of the Olive skincare products I tried. From left to right is a Gentle Cleansing Lotion in a plastic pump bottle featuring marshmallow, meadowfoam, and tangerine oil that won’t irritate your skin while it moisturizes and cleanses it. For some reason, this product seems to be sold in a pack of 3 while others are not. I’m assuming that you can use it up fairly quickly.
Day and Night Creams:
Following are the Olive Moisturizing Day Cream and Olive Nourishing Night Cream. Both of these are tubes with pump tops. This makes them especially great for travel, assuming we’re on the road again. The nourishing day cream has cherry, starflower, and everlasting. It’s got all sorts of other good-for-your-skin ingredients listed on the website. It’s neither too thick nor greasy. I detect a faint herbal scent, but it’s so faint you don’t really smell it. The night cream is also really nice and very pampering thanks to rose, mulberry, and jujube (Chinese date) to soften. An added bonus is immortelle oil which helps to boost collagen while you sleep.
Make It Pomegranate:
To the far left is the Olive Pomegranate Body Lotion. It also is in a plastic pump bottle. I love pomegranates as a superfood to eat, and also love the tart scent. Unfortunately, the body lotion was the one product I personally didn’t love. It features pomegranate, rose and olive leaf, and macadamia, but feels a bit sticky on the skin. I thought I detected a slight scent that wasn’t pomegranate and smelled a bit like soup cooking on my stove!
The one product I didn’t include in my photo above (it arrived a few days later) was a lovely, shiny black plastic pump bottle decorated with a design of white flowers. Inside is the Olive Pomegranate Body Wash featuring pomegranate extract, rose water, and olive actives This body wash does have a scent, and it’s a good one! It brightens your day with a soothing, happy smelling, fruity fragrance, and skin-pampering product. This is a pampering and fun body wash.

At the last minute, I decided to include a product from Loumi Skincare. It is billed as an all-natural, vegan, cruelty-free skincare. There are some chemical actives in these products such as dl-alpha-tocopherol (a synthetic form of vitamin E). But that doesn’t mean these ingredients are bad for you.
Since I only tried this one product, I can’t say too much. There are only a few products and they all contain recognizable good for your skin ingredients.
Revive Retinol Drops:
The Revive Retinol Drops are housed in a chic frosted glass bottle with a dropper top. The scent is a slight vanilla coconut. Revive is infused with Hydroxypinacolone Retinonate, a derivative of the most potent form of vitamin A. The ingredient helps to boost collagen production and nourish your skin. There is also posey-avocado oil, grapefruit seed oil, and hyaluronic acid to help to minimize pores and fine lines. As someone who has super sensitive skin, I felt a slight burning immediately but it went away quickly. Keep in mind that my skin isn’t your skin. Apply 2-3 drops at night and over time, you might see quite a difference in your skin. For more information visit the Loumi Skincare Website: https://loumiskincare.com/
The Bottom Line:
There are so many clean beauty and certified natural brands. They all proudly list what they don’t have in them. So do Loli Beauty. Loumi Beauty and Olive Natural Skincare. You can find all of what they do and don’t have in their products on their websites. But these brands go a step further to provide products that work hard to provide the skin benefits you want. And nothing is expensive. The products are full of good for your skin ingredients that do what they say they will. All in all, these are good reasons to try something new in your skincare routine.
