Let’s start with the one I sampled, the I-died-and-went-to-eye-shadow-heaven, NARSissist Eye Palette ($79.00), named for and inspired by the brand’s devoted fans and cult followers. This inaugural palette will set the stage
for future NARSissist products to come (my heart is already beating a bit faster–can I stand to wait for the next one when I’ve just seen how amazing this one is?)!
This limited-edition palette features 15 of the NARSissist community’s most beloved and inspiring shades in one compact. You might just be tempted to stop and stare at them all lined up from light to dark, and just enjoy the view. Then, you will want to drip your makeup brushes into the products, and see how you can create the looks you long for. The colors really are gorgeous, ranging from three pale shades and through the tones from medium to deep. Some are matte, some shimmery, just a few are shimmery bordering on glittery. You can wear just one, or layer them but they’ll all work together. The photo shows the colors a bit lighter than I see them in the actual palette, but you can get a better idea of what you’ll be getting – I personally think the actuals are a bit more sudued and deeper. This palette is like a little black dress and pearls, you just can’t get it wrong when you’re playing with the colors. If you are truly a fan of NARS shadows, you’ll recognize some of your favorites, all packed in a matte, black, rubberized palette with interior mirror, ready to oogle, play, apply and dazzle. Shades include: All About Eve, Madrague, Fez, Bali, Coconut Grove, Madrague ll, Nepal, Ashes to Ashes, Brousse, Mekong, Bellissima, Lhasa, Bad Behavior, Dogon, and Pandora. Of course, since they’re from NARS, they blend like a dream, stay put, and true to color. NARS doesn’t fool around!
It doesn’t matter how many eye shadow palettes you already own, this one is a must-have for eye shadow lovers. It’s like purchashing another unique fragrance — when you see it, you know you have to own it even if you don’t have a practical reason.
