When a superstar celebrity stylist like Rachel Zoe endorses a lipstick, you know it’s got to be something special. And if you want to exude confidence, wearing a lipstick that’s hot, and chic, and beautiful, and sexy, will do the trick.
Launching officially this month, is Exude Lipstick. Ms. Zoe is the brand ambassador for Exude. She isn’t the sort to put her name on just anything, so you know it’s got to be fabulous (and it is). What has probably captured her attention as it did mine, is the packaging. This isn’t just any old, bullet-shaped, lipstick in a tube. For starters, it arrives nestled into a foam form, in a hard sided, pristine white box. Inside is a lip stain or gloss that comes in 9 creme and 5 lip gloss shades, housed in a white lipstick tube. But the delivery system is quite unique, a clear, plastic slant-tipped nozzle that you twist up to get the product and apply it to your lips. That means that the product itself is liquid-y, but not gooey. Application is precise, and since it’s not a waxy bullet-shape in a tube, it won’t lose it’s shape–ever. And, if you swivel up too much no worries as it will go right back into the tube.
I tried one of the cremes, called Cranberry, which tinted my lips with the perfect amount of long lasting, universally flattering, berry red color without being too blah or too bold. This is Rachel Zoe’s favorite color in the line too, I’m told. It felt creamy and luxurious, thanks to nourishing Vitamins C& E in the formula (an elastic gel, not a waxy stick), with a tiny hint of mint scent. The lip crème is available in flattering, fashion-forward colors of: coral, cranberry, rosy brown, nude, brown, bronze, plum, red, and pink. The lip gloss is available in 5 colors: crimson, brown, clear, dusty pink, and scarlet red and features a good-for-your-skin, anti-aging complex of Omega-3 and Omega-6 essential fatty acids, and Goji Berry and vitamin E. Both keep your lips moist, but they last for hours without having to re-apply (although you may find a thin pretense anyway, because you’ll get envious looks when you use this one).
That’s all good news. and there’s the WOW! factor when you pull this out of your purse and apply it. At $29.00 retail, these are not inexpensive, but new, clever things cost more, most of the time. If you want to exude beauty and fashion sense, follow Rachel, and get one. You’ll feel special every time you use it.
