There is a high demand for natural beauty products. However, “all natural” products still have to perform well and meet your skincare needs. Check out some innovative products from Rahua, Ceramedx, Nature by Canus, Cause+Medic, Desert Essence, Chapstick and Veritas Farms and get natural skin products that are naturally great!
Exotic Natural Fragrance:
Rahua Palo Santo Oil Perfume is a pure plant-based perfume. I’ve enjoyed the herbal and woodsy scent with hints of citrus and gardenia flower in other Rahua products. I always wondered why there wasn’t a perfume…and now, there is!
Palo Santo is known as “Holy Wood” and is used in South America in rituals going back to the Incas. The rising smoke of the lit wood is believed to protect, heal and promote well-being, clearing participants of misfortune and chasing away evil spirits!
This gender-neutral Rahua Palo Santo Perfume Oil arrives in my favorite form: a travel-friendly rollerball ($32). The Palo Santo fragrance is woodsy, almost minty, with hints of citrus and gardenia flower. It’s uplifting. Dab some on during the day as a pick me up to stimulate your senses.
Rahua was the first hair care company using Palo Santo in their product. It’s a natural preservative with anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Rahua only uses naturally fallen, weather-aged wood and does not harvest live trees. Get the fragrance! Visit the Rahua website to learn more
Soothing Ceramide Skincare:
Ceramedx products contain an exclusive riceramide-3 natural ceramide technology to help improve moisture retention in your skin and actually help to heal the dryness. What I like about these gentle to your skin products is that they also help keep skin moist so dry skin doesn’t re-occur.
What I really like is that Ceramedx products are created without fragrances, parabens, or petrolatum. Even those with very dry irritate sensitive skin can use them.
FYI: Ceramides are lipids that help form the skin’s barrier and help skin retain moisture. They can help skin protect itself against environmental saboteurs. The Ceramedx natural ceramide riceramide-3 is a blend of plant-based ceramides, natural fatty acids and cholesterol, plus hyaluronic acid and emollients.
I tested these products:
I tested the Ceramedx Extra Gentle Cleanser ($10), Restoring Body Lotion ($15) and Ultra Moisturizing cream ($18). All three of these products instantly improved the look of dry skin and added much appreciate moisture.
My favorite product is the heaviest hitter; the Ultra Moisturizing Cream (in a screw-top jar). Smoothing on the thick cream (from a jar, not my fave thing) I noticed an immediate improvement in the look and feel of my dry skin. The gentle cleanser in a flip-top tube was soothing as well as cleansing. The Restoring Body Lotion in a plastic pump bottle is fabulous for your desktop, your kitchen, or bathroom.
Among the editor’s samples at a recent Organic Spa Magazine event were three products that really stood out as being able to make life a little nicer.
Aside from surfactants in many bar soaps (that’s what makes them foam), bar soaps can often contain ingredients that are also not so great for sensitive skin.
By Nature by Canus Goats Milk Soap has no harsh chemicals. The base is a pure vegetal one with goat milk and pure, real shea butter ($4.79).
Goats Milk has alpha-hydroxy acids (E.g. lactic acid ) to helps slough off dead skin cells from your skin’s surface. along with Vitamins and minerals. Goat milk cream makes the soap luxuriously moisturizing.
Goat Soap gives skin so much TLC. My editor’s sample version also has pure shea butter, which will help keep your skin soft and soft and offers a light floral fragrance.
At just $4.79 per 5 oz. bar, it’s a skin pampering bargain. Visit https://canusgoatsmilk.com
CBD Pain Cream:
CBD is trending, Some believe that CBD can fix everything that ails you. However, I do know that Cause+Medic CBD Pain Cream (8 oz. $40) offers the benefits of CBD with other active botanical ingredients.
Testing this on my sore leg, I can say that for me, the combo of 400mg of Cause+ Medic’s water-soluble CBD r pain cream with 3% Menthol and 3.1% camphor, plus Aloe , beet root extract, cayenne and sunflower seed oil really did ease my suffering.
To get benefits, apply the cream to the sore area no more than 3-4 times daily. Be prepared to deal with some fragrance from the camphor and menthol (it disappears quickly).
Pampering Body Oil:
The Desert Essence Jojoba and Sweet Almond Oil offers affordable, spa-style pampering at $17/8.28. fl. oz.
Spritz on this hydrating oil after you’ve showered or bathed and your skin will stay moisturized for up to 24 hours, thanks to a blend of Jojoba and Sweet Almond Oils plus Vitamin-enriched Shea Butter and antioxidant Vitamin E.
Hemp Oil Lip Bennies!
I met the people representing Veritas Farms at a Healthy Brands Event and learned about their many products. For now, I’m reviewing the Hemp Oil lip balm.
You’re not going to get a buzz off the hemp (it is .3% or less THC — federally legal nationwide). The main point is that it’s made with emollient organic cocoa butter, shea butter, and aloe vera, and whole-plant hemp extract.
It’s available in two flavors, Orange Creme, and French Vanilla, and contains 25 milligrams of CBD. CBD is trendy but will your lips specifically get benefit from the hemp oil? I’m not sure, but my lips felt luxuriously soft and protected, thanks to the whole package of ingredients.
Nice to know that Veritas Farms uses sustainable farming practices to produce tinctures, topicals, capsules, gummies, and pet oils To learn more. Visit https://shop.theveritasfarms.com/
Sneak Peek! Chic Natural Chapstick:
Chapstick has come a long long way since they launched the original black tube with white top swivel up lip balm. The newest Chapsticks arrive this July (this is just a sneak peek):
The new Chapstick Total Hydration Essentials Oils lip balms are made with 100% naturally sourced ingredients. The light scents are inspired by different moods: Relax (lavender + Chamomile); Peace (rosemary + Peppermint); Happy (Orange + lemon) and Emergy (grapefruit + Lime).
Nature inspired ingredients include sunflower seed oil coconut oil and shea butter. There’s a light scent and no taste to these. I love the super silky and emollient balm–it’s the bomb!
