Eau de Joy: Oui La Vie Est Belle Perfume Review
Advicesisters.com is so excited to share the news about Oui La Vie Est Belle Eau de Parfum ($102 – 1.7 fl oz.) by Lancome. It’s a new twist on their La Vie Est Belle. Each flanker has been unique and beautiful, Oui La Vie Este Belle is a fruity floral with what (I think) are somewhat unique bottom notes. The fragrance is billed as being for “those who celebrate every moment of joy, and empowers those who wear it to embrace every opportunity. ” This new Eau de Parfum was just launched in 2022.
Notes:
The primary top notes are Raspberry, Pink Pepper, and Bergamot. Heart notes are Rose and Ylang-Ylang. The base notes are Sweet Notes, iris, and Patchouli. I don’t think I know of too many fragrances that include iris in the bottom notes along with gourmand notes. Interesting!
The Creators:
The original La Vie Est Belle was created 10 years ago. This new fragrance takes the fragrance in another direction, by perfumers Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion.
Perfumers (“noses”) are rock stars in my beauty world. Ms. Ropion has designed some of my favorite fragrances from Orlov and Mugler (and many more) while Anne Flipo designed perfumes for Christian Dior and Jimmy Choo, among others.
The bottle is beautiful. The Oui La Vie Est Belle bottle is re-imagined by George Delhomme with a burst of golden fireworks across a good portion of the bottle. The juice is pink. in a clear chunk of clear glass with a square chunk of clear acrylic on the spray diffuser. The pink voile “scarf” around the collar is also tinged with gold. Doesn’t everyone in France wear a scarf? So do fragrances!
What Does Oui La Vie Est Belle Smell Like?
How perfume smells, and how it smells on each person, is highly subjective. However, I have smelled a few of the La Vie Est Belle fragrances on advicesisters.com. With Oui La Vie Est Belle you can really smell the raspberry at first. However, very quickly it turns more floral with a sweetness and a sensual softness. This doesn’t mean that it is a sugary teen scent. The bottom notes with sensual patchouli and iris tame the sweetness and it’s very well blended with the top and mid notes.
I don’t believe that scent has a gender. However, it’s a romantic, warmer fragrance with feminine touches on the bottle. So I’m going out on a limb to say that La Vie Est Belle will appeal primarily to women.
Does this appeal to every age group? Just about, although it’s a bit sophisticated for teenagers but even they might borrow big sister or mom’s Oui la Vie Este Belle for a special night out. The ageless, and beautiful actress Julia Roberts is still the face of the La Vie Est Belle scents.
From the carton to the flacon to the fragrance, Oui La Vie Est Belle is a very pretty scent. You’ll find it at major department stores, stores online, and at Lancome.com
