Skin is a miracle, but most of us take it for granted, instead of pampering it. Skin An Apothecary Luxury skincare products lets you pamper your skin with a line of nicely packaged, nourishing products that use natural intredients, suchy as oils, herbs, fruit and honey.
You can get full sized goodies, but personally, I’m a fan of the gift sets with 2 oz. Mini Sized jars, great for travel or for your guest bathroom (more on those, in a moment). All of the full-sized goodies arrive in generously sized plastic jars as you see above
Whether you’re planning to apply a self tanner or get a spray tan, or you just need to do maintenance and slough off dead, dry skin cells, exfoliation is even more important in the Summer months. Skin An Apothecary has two different ypes of exfoliators: Salt Glow and a Sugar Glow. Both come in large, plastic tubs.16 oz. tub or also in 8 and 2 oz sizes. The Salt Glow uses fine quality milled salt (so it won’t rip your skin to shreds), and a blend of grapeseed, wheat germ , pressed fruit rind oils and vitamins A & E . The Sugar Glow is also exfoliating but gentle, with grapeseed, Vitamins A & E oils and what germ, to hydrate, plus some of the sweeter scents have an additional bit of cocoa that acts as a powerful antioxidant.
Personally, I prefer the more tart scents such as uplifting citrus (I tried this in the Salt Glow), but if you are a fan of gourmand scents, The Sugar Glow in Crema, will blow you away! Both sugar and salt are excellent exfoliators, but don’t scrub too vigorously for too long. A gentle massage for about 20-30 seconds will help make your skin smooth and soft, but not irritated. And of course, you’ll have a lovely scent to savor as well.
If you just can’t choose a single, there is a Special Edition Gift Set ($18.00) that features both salt glow and sugar glow, two of each in four of Skin’s most popular scents: Sugar Glow in Poppy and Crema, and Salt Glow in Citrus and Red Orchid (see small photo above). The gift sets are also available in Soy Body whips. Each set of four is nicely boxed and topped with a silky white ribbon at the top. An old fashioned, ornate Apothecary style label adorns every jar and the box, as well. The gift sets make a nice weekend host/hostess gift, or an affordable wedding shower idea.
Moisture is also an essential for healthy, soft, glowing, smooth skin. A standout in the Skin and Apothecary line is the Soy Body Whip ($27.00 16 oz.) in 14 different scents. The newest one is “Aspen.” Since the company was opened in Colorado, this fresh pine scent is a natural choice that men will really like as well as the ladies. The top note are: tarragon, grapefruit and lime leaf, plus notes of Siberian pine and a bit of amber, and some other ingredients in-between. The scent starts very pine-y (which I love), but as it dries down, you do get a more subtle hint of amber . The result is sensual, but still like enough for the Summer months. The Soy Body Whip contains Vitamin C, soy and coconut oils, that help balance by infusing the skin with essential fatty acids and nutrients, while dealing with dry skin. It takes a while for this moisturizer to sink in, but it is lighter than many balms and butters. It’s very pleasing! It’s also a Paraben-Free body treatment that is appropriate even for sensitive skin. Try it it once and you’ll be hooked.
There’s plenty more at Skin an Apothecary to pamper the skin your body is in. It is carried in some spas and specialty stores nationwide, or visit www.skinanapothecary.com
What a shame! I’ve been looking for something like this and they don’t ship to UK!
I would email the company and ask if there is another way to get it in the UK. Good luck
