Peace Soap: Give Peace A Chance From Kiss My Face

July 22, 2010 By: Alison Blackman AdviceSisters

How can you not love something called “Peace Soap”?

Peace Soap, by Kiss My Face is an all-natural, liquid Castille soap touted as having 101 uses. However, it’s also an indirect way, to help give peace a chance in this conflict-riddled world. You see, Kiss my Face is donating 10% of all profits from their Peace Soap to benefit Seeds Of Peace. This unusual organization brings teenagers together from opposite sides of a conflict, such as Israelis and Palestinians. The teens get a chance to learn (and live) with one another, in an attempt to humanize the “enemy” and bring about understanding, and hopefully, eventually, peace.

If younger generations are the future, what a wonderful world it would be if these teens would finally give peace a chance and set an example for their parents?

But back to Peace Soap, the product, for a moment. The soap is a Castille soap–a product that has been around a long time–natural and simple. The Grassy Mint Peace Soap I tried (there are three others: Lavender Mandarin, Lemongrass Clary Sage, and Pomegranate Acai). The grassy mint smelled like a fresh (not sugary) version of Doublemint Gum–yum! But the ingredients are just: water, Coconut Oil, Organic Olive Oil, Organic Hemp Oil, Xanthan Gum, Spearmint Oil, and a Natural Fragrance Blend. There are two sizes: $9.99 (17oz.) and $15.99 (34oz.)

So Versatile!

Obviously, you can use Peace Soap as a cleanser (it is a soap product, after all). You can use it on your hair and your skin. However, its’ versatility doesn’t end there. You can use it in your home to do everything from cleaning countertops, to sinks, to your car. Use if for hand washables, as a veggie wash, or even as a plant insecticide! There is a list of more uses for Peace Soap on the Kiss My Face Web Site …and even more, uses!

I like the idea that I can get the large, 17 fl. oz plastic bottle with flip top (and those cute, “peace” graphics on the label) and use it everywhere, without having to keep so many different cleansers in my closet.

For Those Who Need to Know:

For those who care (and there are a lot of you out there), you’ll be happy to know that Peace Soap is biodegradable, environmentally safe, veggie-based (vegan), and doesn’t have SLS, parabens, phthalates, artificial fragrance.

Let’s all give peace a chance! It’s a purchase that will make you feel good in more ways than one!

You can get Kiss My Face Products in select grocery stores like Whole Food, and health food stores. Learn more about Kiss My Face at kissmyface.com
