When I was sent this amazing multi-tasker I have to admit that I was excited. For starters, the product does so much, for so very little. Just because something is inexpensive doesn’t mean that it’s not good (beauty snobs, be darned)!
The first benefit of this lotion is that it moisturizes (duh! it’s a moisturizer). But it also brightens dull skin and is enriched with illuminating minerals, and has a nearly weightless SPF 15 formula that contains UVA and UVB sun protection against skin-damaging rays. The actives, in case you want to know, are: 5% Octinoxate; 3% Avobenzone, and 1% Ensuizole (this is primarily a UV protectant). With just SPF 15 this protect will protect you minimally as you go about your day with minimal exposure. You already know you need something with a higher SPF and you have to apply it every couple of hours, if you truly want broad spectrum protection. But for a daily product that smells good, feels good, and will help your skin look good, and to do it for less than the cost of a sandwich and a cold drink, you can’t beat it. It also won’t clog pores. I love the rose scent that is subtle but pretty–an homage I believe, to PONDS heritage, but with a modern vibe. The only thing that could improve this lovely product is a flip-top cap instead of a screw off one. I kind of love it!

The Cream Cleanser and the Daily Exfoliating Cleanser both do arrive in tubes with flip-top caps, with a very soft, watercolor rose design on the white tubes, The Cream cleanser features soft, white, Kaolin Clay that helps to draw out deep impurities, and do it gently. The cleanser is also hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic (it won’t clog your pores) and dermatologist tested. The Exfoliating cleanser also has Kaolin clay, along with gentle little micro-beads that help remove dry, dead, dull skin cells. Don’t let the soft rose scent or pearly white cleanser fool you into thinking this is a wimpy cleanser just because it is “girly.” It will exfoliate well…and it won’t rip your skin to shreds.
The Luminous Clean Wet Cleansing Towelettes, arrive packaging that is usual for these types of tote-able towelettes-in a soft sided, re-sealable, pouch. But they’re textured, so they can get rid of things you don’t want on, or in, your skin. They also have white Kaolin Clay to help get the “dirt” and makeup, out. They’re hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, and safe for contact lens wearers. At under $5.00 they’re also a great value. These particular towelettes are also “wet” enough to wipe (some towelettes are just do dry you have to literally scrub to cleanse) but not so wet they’re drippy. Leave a pack in your tote now, your beach bag, later on.
