Here’s my first “SNEAK PEEK” for Fashion Week
Last Season, PORTS 1961 had a runway show that was pure magic, ” inspired by the mythology of Gaelic tales and romantic Scotland, through the eyes of Lassair, a fabled muse. PORTS 1962 falls under the spell of a Scottish winter, with dark moods and whimsical auras that tease the subconscious mind.” http://www.advicesisters.net/2008/02/ports-1961-magical-mystical-romantic
This season, for SPRING 2009 Tia Cibani’s spring 2009 collection for PORTS 1961 is” inspired by the Canadian artist Emily Carr. Carr’s work specializes in her awareness o Canadian native culture through a number of works representing the British Columbian rainforest as well as expressionist paintings, totem poles and other artifacts stemming from the culture of the Native people of the Pacific North West. “
It sounds like again, it will be a show worth watching. I will report on this show both backstage and from the runway, if possible. Fashion Week begins in just days…stay tuned!
