The old saying is that you should always buy someone a gift that you’d want for yourself. In truth, that’s not always the case. Everyone’s taste is different. But I wouldn’t be much of a sporting sort if I didn’t say that for the open-minded, a gift of a terrific personal relaxation device (call it a vibrator, if you must) would probably make a woman’s eyes light up (if only in private). And it’s the kind of gift you can totally justify giving yourself, as well.

These “works of art” come in various colors and sizes. However, I have always been partial to gadgets that are small and portable, and for that reason I chose LELO’s Alia ($199.99) to suggest as a gift for your favorite road warrior woman. Alia looks like an elegant, gold-rimmed egg, but one that is Approx. 2.3″ w x 3.4″ h. It has a smooth outer shell that glides gently over the skin and in case you want to use it in the bath (or in a swimming pool or rainstorm–be creative!), it is fully waterproof. It has s 6 adjustable vibration modes from merely a purr, to a much more vigorous massage. It isn’t completely quiet, but it won’t raise any eyebrows if you’re in the other room. Naturally, when the wax melts, it makes a warm pool of massage oil. Set the mood and moisturize your skin! The 5.3 oz. candle has an approximate burn time of 36 hours. The Black Pepper & Pomegranate scent is very light, mostly fresh and a bit green. Another seriously high tech and elegant line of vibrators comes from JOPEN. Their new, Vanity is their signature collection. This company bills itself as: “the premiere company that produces luxury pleasure products in North America. ” The company was founded by Susan Colvin, the first woman to own and operate an major “novelty” company, and she employs an all woman design team. Women best understand what other women want in a luxury personal massage product. Yes sisters are doing it for themselves!
Vanity VR-1o by Jopen reminds me of the one Charlotte loved a bit TOO much, in Sex & The City
