The Advice Sisters are fans of Elizabeth Grant skin care products, and especially her Vitamin C Line . Elizabeth Grant’s skincare line has something unique: a natural substance called “Torricelumn™” that is extracted from the fronds and within the pods of kelp. The kelp pods keep the seawood floating on the ocean’s surface, allowing them to absorb sunlight, photosynthesizing oxygen, the source of life and energy. The seawater absorbed by kelp is similar to human plasma, allowing users to get benefits from sea vitamins and minerals, too. This ingredient has superb healing properties.
Not too long ago, Elizabeth Grant launched a new, anti-aging skin care line called Collagen Diamond. There are four products in the line: Collagen Diamond Day Creme ($75.00), Night Creme, Eye Creme and a serum. While Elizabeth Grant already does have a collagen collection, among others, this one is special because it actually contains diamond powder to deliver a one-two punch, working to improve skin from the inside with firming collagen and DESS technology, while at the same time; the diamond powder illuminates the skin on a surface level making it look immediately smoother and radiant.
Another thing that makes the Elizabeth Grant Collagen Diamond Collection unique, is the exceptional packaging. The products arrive in gold and white metallic outer cartons that a rich and elegant. Although I’m not a fan of cremes in jars (because of the risk of contamination and the fact that I hate to stick my hands in a messy jar of creme), all three cremes are in striking, clear, square, plastic jars with an eye-catching “diamond” covers. Each has an inner seal for freshness, and a little, white, plastic spatula to apply the cremes. The serum is in a white pump bottle . If you clean the jars out fastidiously you can even use these beautiful jars for other things after the cremes are finished.
As with the other Elizabeth Grant items this reviewer has tried, I really like this luxe skincare. It isn’t difficult to use (just four products streamline your beauty routine) and the results are potentially teriffic (I can’t use anything long enough to see amazing results, but I can tell you that the immediate feeling of these products, was very satisfying). The Collagen Diamond Day Crème [$75] plumps, smooths and firms, and protects your skin, although it doesn’t have UVA/UVB properties (so you need to wear a broad spectrum SPF as well). Collagen Diamond Night Crème [$85] Containing Sodium Hyaluronic technology to enhance the absorption of micronized Collagen particles, also has something called “Elastonyl,” for increased elasticity, plus peptide Toniskin for smoothing results (non-greasy so you won’t leave stains on your pillowcase). My favorite product is the Collagen Diamond Miracle Concentrate [$75] featuring Elizabeth Grant’s exclusive, high performance Torricelumn™ to plump skin and reduce the appearance of lines –and it feels very soothing and refreshing on your skin. This serum can also be used as a non-greasy makeup base, or at night, before your Night Crème application. For those who love eye creams, there’s the very good Collagen Diamond Eye Crème [$65] You can almost feel it going to work, de-puffing and minimizing dark circles in the under-eye area.
This is all good news for devotees of Elizabeth Grant products, including celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Natasha Bedingfield, Blake Lively, Audrina Patridge, Sofia Vergara, Jessica White, Kim Kardashian, Shontelle, and Nina Dobrev. The not-so-great-news is that if you purchase all four products, it’s going to set you back a couple of hundred dollars, so it’s perhaps a big splurge if you’re budget-minded.
