Advicesisters.com says: This new, nicely curated, highly-collectible collection of wear-now ’til forever cosmetics is inspired by the infamous fashion photographer Helmut Newton whose edgy, provocative photographs made stars of models, and graced fashion magazines of the highest order.
The colors are intensely pigmented and border on vampy, but end up being wear-ably edgy for non models and normal “fashionistas,” thanks the the genius of M-A-C- Cosmetics’ creative geniuses.
Advicesisters.com: MAC Cosmetics does eye shadow palettes so well. Even if you have a dozen of them, there’s always something new to discover. This quartet has all the makings of a smokey eye that Marlene Dietrich would love.
The colors are intense and matte, yet they aren’t harsh, they’re just “smoulder-y” in taupe, brown eggshell and a soft black that will make even the black-averse, want to try more of it on their lids. This quartet is going to turn heads.
*Alison Blackman isn’t a photographer at the level of Helmut Newton, but is happy to share a few of her own photographs from the samples advicesisters.com received for review.
