A Review of Kruzers Foldable Footwear by Fitkick
by Alison Blackman
I have finally found Kruzers by Fitkicks Foldable Street Sneakers, a pair of fold-able shoes that are more than just slippers.
You’ve probably tried some fold-able “streetwear” especially if you travel frequently or wear shoes that leave you wishing you could walk barefoot rather than stand one more painful minute in them.
But most of these are thin “ballet slippers” too thin and fragile to walk around in for long.
Kruzers Foldable Street Sneakers are more substantial, with a heavier rubber sole and a stylish loafer-style upper. (it still folds in half for travel) but also a stylish loafer-style upper.
But they still fold into a small, canvas travel bag when you don’t need them.
Why Choose Kruzers?
At $30 Kruzers cost more than your average, drugstore folding slipper, but they will take you to the beach, shopping, through a long airplane ride or anytime your feet demand relief.
The color choices are Orange, Turquoise, Black, and Silver. Each has a subtle “snake skin” design.
Getting the right fit is key to your comfort. The sizes are as follows:
S = 5.5-6.5, M = 7-8, L = 8.5-9.5, XL = 10-11
However, as with many fold-able footwear styles, tired feet can also be swollen feet. I normally suggest selecting one size up from your shoe size, especially if you’re wearing these on an airplane or after walking a lot.
If you have a very narrow foot consider ordering your shoe size or a size down.
I normally wear a size 8 but the Large was really the right fit.
For style, comfort, and realistic wear, Kruzers are the best fold-able footwear I’ve found to date.
However, they are still meant to be “transitional” shoes.
While the soles are much more substantial than the average fold-able slipper, they wouldn’t be the shoe of choice to wear on a hike or walk comfortably all day long on bumpy streets. In other words, they aren’t going to replace your well padded supportive sneakers.
