The Revlon Pro Collection Salon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer Lives Up to the Name…and More:
Revlon Pro Collection Salon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer is a Game Changer
Here’s What We Found When We Tested it:
We don’t gush a lot, very often, but this Revlon hair dryer and styler simply blew us away in every way.
It dries hair, even thick hair, in a flash. It cut drying time of shoulder length hair to just a couple of minutes (no exaggeration).
It styles quickly and easily (less time on your hair + less damage).
It adds shine, softness and best of all, fights frizz better than anything we have ever tried.
We are tempted to call this “DIY for dummies” because this tool is so simple and effective, you can’t get it wrong/ Advicesisters.com has tried a lot of these products and most of them work, but they have glitches that make them hard to dry hair well, or hard to style hair well.
Advicesisters.com has tried a lot of these products and most of them work, but they have glitches that make them hard to dry hair well, or hard to style hair well. Unboxing this hair tool, we immediately see the difference. The shape is oval, so you can straighten hair but also flip the ends under or up. You won’t get that boring stick straight look unless you really want it.
There are three different heat settings (low, medium, high) on the handle and one heat setting. That’s the only setting option you have. There are no adapters or extra tools to lose that always get stuffed into a drawer where you’re likely to even forget you have them. That makes life a lot easier, too.
hat makes life a lot easier, too.
It’s best if you section your hair to dry it, but even a full head of thick, shoulder length hair dried in record time, just about 7 minutes. Usually, it would take three times as long with a traditional hand held hair dryer and a brush.
The combination of nylon pin bristles with boar bristles means you can detangle easily without ripping your delicate wet hair to shreds. However, when it comes to styling, the same combo will hold your hair firmly and hold the frizzies back as you dry and style.
As a finishing touch, you can simply swipe the entire brush over the top surfaces of your hair. The ceramic ionic technology acts to remove frizz and static while smoothing and adding shine.
The tool is noisy, at least as noisy as a normal hair dryer.
After using the tool the brush is really hot. The tip stays cool, but if you get the hot brush too close to your ears, you can burn them.
Depending upon the length and thickness of your hair, you’ll need a trial run (or two) to get your style just right. After that it’s smooth sailing all the way.
The tool is easy to hold and easy to handle, but a bit bulky to leave on your dressing table (really no biggie)
This Revlon® Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer is now available in specialty, mass, drug, and food outlets that sell hair appliances for a suggested retail price of $60.00 . While we think it’s a must-have for our readers, it’s going to make a great holiday gift idea as well (if it doesn’t sell out).
