Just as long as I know you’re thinking of me
There’ll be a rainbow always up above me
Since I found the one who really loves me
Everything I touch is turned to gold
So you can color my world with sunshine yellow each day
Oh you can color my world with happiness all the way
Just take the green from the grass and the blue from the sky up above
And if you color my world, just paint it with your love
Just color my world
Sunshine yellow, orange blossom
Laughing faces everywhere, yeah
So you can color my world with sunshine yellow each day
Oh you can color my world with happiness all the way
Just take the green from the grass and the blue from the sky up above
And if you color my world, just paint it with your love
Just color my world
Color my world, color my world

Petula Clark probably wasn’t thinking of Rickys NYC when she made Color My World a pop hit, but I’m willing to bet she’d love Rickys NYC’s RickyColor products as I do. Rickys is known for lots of boutique and popular brands, but they have their own label products as well, and it is these that have always enchanted me and have made me a decades-long fan. Now that we are “thinking Spring,” here are some easy and affordable ways to color your world , with RickysNYC’s own label products, RickyColor:Party People! Disco isn’t dead (despite what you might have heard). The fashion, the dance, the divas, the vibe is alive! Rickys NYC brings it to you in a a set of seriously new and new DIsco Sticks. These slim, soft pencils have moisture and a bit of shine, and and you can bring the glam with you wherever you go. This set of five fabulous lip pencils offer soft color (that stays put, people), and a bit of shine (not too much, just enough), with colors from nude to deep berry, and names playing homage to some of the hottest clubs of the disco era. They’ll make you feel like dancing the night away. Tuck one into your evening bag, or your everyday tote, and feel the glam of that era, stayin alive! The moisturizing balm plus color never needs sharpening either, just swivel up more of the “good stuff” from the bottom as you need it. The set includes: –Twilo, creamy brown; –Crobar, glam bright pink; –Roseland, romantic red; –Roxy, vampy violet; –Marquee, soft nude. Consider this: it’s just $20.00 for a boxed set, so it’s a bargain! Hit me with a Ricky Disco Stick! I’m in love with these!
The Advice Sisters know a good thing when we see it, and while we’ve reviewed RickyColor Nail Polish previously on our web site, we love it. Spring is coming, and there are so many shades, we know there’s some you are going to want to try. The polishes are just $6.50 each, and they are (3-free – Formaldehyde free, Toluene Free, and DBP-Free). However, I like to use a base coat and certainly a Top Coat, to keep polish looking fresher, for longer. Ricky’s Bright Lights Big City Color Intensifying Top Coat is $9.00 and adds a high wattage shine, while it seals and protects your nail art and polish. It also made the glitter polish look and feel better. The top coat dries fast and is also 3-free. These products are distributed exclusively by Ricky’s NYC so you need to go to one of the Rickys NYC stores, or buy online. (see link below).
I can’t tell you which of a gazillion colors are favorites, because everyone will have a different take on this, but InStyle Magazine recently dubbed “mint” the color of the season. “5th Floor Walkup” is a perfect, light green that has that mint look, without being “medicinal” in tone. And I personally love the iridescent green/grey/super-shimmer called “Drunk Brunch” which is just deep enough to wear now when the weather and clothing is still “wintery,” but light enough to light my spirits. For those who just can’t get enough dark colors, “Bodega Run” is a deep, rich berry.
Gift Tip: A bag or pouch of nail polish goodies makes a fun gift that is one size fits all. Visit your favorite RICKYS NYC store, or http://www.rickysnyc.com
