RIP, Lou Reed. Wherever you are, I hope you’re taking a walk on the wild side and that every day is a “perfect day”
Lou Reed is one of the most influential artists of the rock era, Lou Reed with the help of Andy Warhol at the “Factory”, made the velvet underground a massively influential band. However, it was “Transformer”, Lou Reeds second solo album, which took him from cult hero of The Velvet Underground to international superstar. He remained active in the music industry throughout his life. in May 2013 he had a liver transplant, but on October 27, 2013 he die, at age 71, from liver disease at his home in Southampton, New York. He will be missed, but his influence and his music will live on.
