When I look around as I am on the subway or just about anywhere people are waiting, almost everyone is wearing earbuds or headphones and playing games or listening to music, podcasts or audiobooks on their smart devices. Most of these headphones are wired. Wired headphones and earbuds can deliver amazing sound, but if you are into exercise or are moving around, wires can be a pain. Those cords always seem to get tangles and knotted up in my bag, too. Wireless headphones and earbuds are becoming even more popular and we can free ourselves from wires when we need to.
Recently, a package arrived with a set of Epic Bluetooth Premium Wireless earbuds by JLab for me to review. After trying them, I am convinced that these earbuds could possibly be the best thing that can happen to your workout, commute, or daily activities. You can’t know how much more “free” you’ll feel until you experience a pair of bluetooth earbuds for yourself.
Earbuds:
The JLab earbuds are not just the same old same old. They have a wire that runs between the two earbuds but you can shorten it with included clips to fit your head precisely. Put your hair over the earbud wire in the back of your head, and you can’t even see it! These earbuds are also great for those who play and work out hard, because they’re splash and sweat-proof, Lightweight, and with an ergonomic design that really is comfortable in and around your ears. Even better, you can take these on a trip and not worry about running out of battery life (these will last up to 10 hours which JLab claims is 60% more than their competitor’s products).
Synching the earbuds was a cinch. It took literally, seconds. No problems, no glitches.
Ergonomically Designed:
For those who like techspeak, the JLab Epic earbuds have a memory wire that ergonomically fits the natural shape of ear canals, plus six pair of Silicone tips in various sizes to customize your comfort even more. The earbuds are attached to thin, flexible wires that conform to fit your own ears, just as you’d like them. Therefore they won’t fall out if you run or job. The JLab EPIC Bluetooth Earbuds are IPX-4 rated, making them 100% splash-proof and washable.
One additional bonus is the universal microphone. If you have an iPhone, once you’ve activated SIRI through your phone, you can give commands through the mic. The controls are simple and relatively easy to access. That’s because they’re just under the level of your right ear. Also, the earbuds are marked L and R so you don’t mess it up.
The Epic Bluetooth wireless earbuds by JLab feature Bluetooth 4.0and a Universal USB to micro USB cord (you’ll charge them completely in about three hours). For travel, there’s a nice, slim black neoprene, eco-leather smartphone case to hold your earbuds and your phone. The earbuds have three colors choices: black, grey with black accents, or blue and white. The company also offers JLab’s service and one-year warranty.
When it comes to sound these wireless bluetooth speakers provide it: good, satisfying. Preferences differ so what I hear and what I like will be different than someone else’s. These earbuds with C3(Crystal Clear Clarity) give you very clean sounds with exceptional highs. And the mid-range which is great for spoken word. However, it would be nice to have more bass.
It is the 8mm drivers, which are up to 50% larger than the competition, that drive the sound. A larger diaphragm (driver) allows for a more consistent frequency, providing more quality sound passing through the earbud. I’m not saying the sound isn’t good, it definitely is. But if you’re a fan of huge, pumping bass, I didn’t hear that despite the JLab claims that it exists.
Overall:
These are going to change your life for the better. That is, whether you’re commuting, working out, or just relaxing with “me” time, From an overall standpoint, the quality, pleasure of use, and comfort are a standout. JLab’s design team relies heavily on input from fans and regularly incorporates customer ideas into the product development process.
