The advicesisters.com tech column features lots of stories about power banks and chargers for all those electronics we carry around to stay productive or just have fun. Recently I discovered the Rush Charge Hinge. It’s new, and it’s unique. I have so much to shares with you about it!
The advicesisters.com tech column has featured dozens of chargers from small to large. But the new Hinge by Rush Charge is definitely a new and noteworthy addition to your charger/powerbank arsenal. The Hinge comes in 5 nice colors (our editorial sample was purple). It keeps your smart phone (both IOS and Android) charged but also functions a phone stand andimpromptu tripod.
Cut the Cord! Most power banks dangle from a USB cord. However, once you charge your Rush Charge Hinge (using a USB cord not included) it has up to 35+ hours of battery life (4,500mAh Polymer Lithium Highspeed Battery). The unit comes pre-charged but the instructions said to charge it first. So I did.
This is one of the lightest and easiest chargers I’ve ever tested. Pop the Rush Charge Hinge into your pocket or purse, or use it as a phone stand while it charges. Thanks to pass-through technology, once you need more power, just plug it into a Micro USB and the Rush Charge Hinge will charge both the Unit and your phone at the same time. You can also use it as a substitute tripod stand when you’re making videos.
What Version Are You:The Hinge is available in three version: C; micro USB; and lightning. Obviously, it’s versatile. However, it’s also a pleasure to port around since it’s a mere 2.62 oz. and 3.54 in X 2.36in X 0.24in. Another nice feature is that the charger plug pops up when you need is stored when you don’t.The Rush Charge Hinge locks in place to keep your phone secure. In fact, there are 3 locking angles so you can adjust your phone on a slant. Four LED lights on the front show you how much battery you have left. However, not all phones are alike. Some phones will work better than other. I had to remove the case from my Samsung Galaxy S9+ and it fit, but wobbled a bit on the chrager. For me, the best part about it is that I can use it for videos without having to lug out a tripod, and view my phone at an angle. I
The Bottom Line:
The new Rush Charge Hinge is one of the most versatile chargers I’ve ever tested. It’s not perfect, but it’s darn close! You can purchase this on Amazon for $50. It’s definitely a worthwhile investment in your productivity! Learn more on rushcharge.com available on Amazon!
