I am really happy to be telling you about the Silk’n Pedi Pro Nail and Skincare device which, at just under $50, may be the best investment you can make before sandals season begins.

Ever since salons banned razor blades when shaving off calluses during pedicures and instituted wimpy smoothers for dealing with dry skin, many people are trying hard to figure out how to effectively remove dry skin and calluses from the bottom of their feet.

It’s not that I thought it was a great idea to have a stranger scrape my feet with sharp objects that could cause infections.

But short of going to a medical doctor, there are really very few devices that can dispense with calluses and dry skin on feet effectively and safely,

This is especially true if you want to do this yourself, at home.

Sponge and metal smoothers work for a few days, but this technique just ends up roughing up dry skin, leaving sharp bits of skin that pop up and snag your stockings and socks in a few days.

When I received this $49 device for review, I could immediately see that it looked different, with a very formidable diamond callus removing roller head that never needed to be replaced.

I popped in the two AA batteries (included), pressed the power button, and the rotating head sprang to life.

Apply it to your calluses and rough skin and it literally pulverizes them into dust.

You can even use the callus removing head in the shower (but the smoothing and nail polishing heads for nails are meant to be used in a dry place only).

Why Silk’n Beats the Competition:

I’ve reviewed similar devices, but they shaved off skin in small flakes.The Silk’n Pedi Pro is really more effective, smoothing skin in a way that it doesn’t pop up into scratchy flakes in another day or so.

I’m not a fan of manicure heads as I have very weak nails, but the attachments on the Silk’n Pedi Pro works great on my toenails.first smoothing them and then buffing them so I don’t really need polish.

The nail smoothing head is turquoise and the buffing head is white. Changing heads is a snap–just pull off one, push on the next!

But polish sticks better and looks smoother when your nails are perfectly prepped, so I gently use this on my fingernails, too. The extra step goes a long way to keeping my mani-pedi lasting longer.
