Summer is a time to treat your skin with a little more TLC. That doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune to do it. Here are 5 Fab Skin-Loving Products that work wonderfully well, and don’t cost much!
Get These For Yourself!
Scratch! scratch! scratch! ….your skin is itchy, it’s likely due to over-exposure to sun, salt and sand.
Aveeno has a dynamic duo of soothing, moisturizing skin-loving goodness to help you: Positively Radiant Body Lotion and Exfoliating Body Wash.
Both of these budget skincare beauties feature Aveeno’s Active Naturals Total Soy Complex and natural light diffusers to make dry skin look better. We like Aveeno Active Naturals products with Calming Feverfew (like chamomile) and products good for all skin types but especially kind to sensitive skin.
Exfoliation is important, especially if you use self tanners (rough skin means uneven color). One way to gently accomplish this is by using a daily exfoliator such as Aveeno Active Naturals Exfoliating Body Wash ($8.50/18 fl. oz).
This soap-free, dye-free hypoallergenic product gently exfoliates your skin (with walnut shell powder, not plastic beads or shards) for a more radiant look, without ripping it to shreds. It cleanses nicely, so the exfoliation is an added bonus to help multi-task.
A rich and creamy lather helps your skin target 5 factors of radiance: tone, texture, dullness, blotchiness, and brown spots, to leave your skin looking fresh, awake and luminous.
Follow up with Aveeno Positively Radiant Body Lotion (srp $8.50/ 12 fl. oz.) (read our full review). The body lotion can moisturize skin up to 24 hours. It’s paraben-free and aluminum-free and has Vitamin B3 to boost hydration and reduces redness (you’ll see it listed as ”niacinamide” on the label.).

Nifty, New & Natural
I spied these skin-loving Blackout Masks (or BOM) at an indie “Beauty Edit.” Ebony or ivory, there’s a mask for your skin.
The resealable, round, pillow-shaped tubes with squeeze top remind me of astronaut food. Each comes with a little applicator brush.
The Aussie White Clay + Apricot mask ($16) also with coconut oil and aloe vera (among other things) hydrates, shrinks pores, and might even reduce dark circles. The Black Mask ($15) has activated Charcoal + Coconut Face Mask to help with pimples and pores (great for Summer). $29 brings you one of two luxury masks Green (with green tea and sea clay) and Pink (pink clay and rose).
When you need to remove a facial mask, it can make a bit of a mess. Blackout Mask offers an 8 -Pack of extraordinary 100% cotton towels that “grow” to full size under water.
Use one to wipe off the mask, then toss it! The entire packette is just $5 and that makes them great for travel anywhere as well.
