Sometimes it’s difficult to figure out what to try when it comes to Skincare Brands. LaFlore, Pevonia, Suki and Cirem have skincare solutions to address specific skincare concerns. Whether it’s lack of sleep, dry or maturing skin, or simply just a desire to try some new products and clean beauty, these four fab skincare finds are great ones to try right now.
What is live probiotic skincare? LaFlore offers a tempting try-it-out with their Discovery Set ($62). Inside an attractive zippered fabric pouch are three travel-sized LaFlore products that simplify your skincare in three steps: Cleanse, then add a serum and a daily defense moisturizer.
LaFlore is an earth-friendly skincare line featuring pre-, pro-, and post-biotics using a combination of live probiotics and prebiotics to support your skin’s individual microbiome and neutralize harmful bacteria. They products are good for people with allergies and sensitive skin.
Prebiotic/probiotic skincare products are trendy. They work together to help your skin to be healthy. This combo helps deal with dryness, inflammation and signs of aging.
These products don’t work in a “cookie-cutter” way which makes them unique. LaFlore uses a variety of diverse, live flora that (that hey claim) will work with each of our skin’s microbiome to create optimum skin health. They personalize to your skin since yours skins’ needs will be different from mine or anyone else’s
My skin will take what it needs from La Flore as your skin should do. There is no way for advicesisters.com to quantify how this works, but the idea is enticing.
I like the fact that these products are clean, vegan, gluten-free and cruelty-free and free of parabens sulfates, toxins, irritants, silicone. dimethicones, artificial colors, and fragrances, phthalates, petrolatum, glycols or mineral oils.
The oxygen-free pumps in the LaFlore Discovery Kit are great to test out the products before you decide to buy the full sizes. Visit the LaFlore website to learn more
America’s Competitor to La Mer?
CIREM® (a-MERIC-a in reverse) is made in America. What caught my attention is that it is touted as The American Competitor to La Mer. Eye Gel Cream for review from the Classic Collection. As skincare brands go, that’s quite a claim!
We received a ton of press information about Cirem, so let’s boil it down to what you really need to know.
The main actives in Cirem include some very elegant ingredients including luminescent diamond dust, hydrating caviar, hyaluronic acid, Retinol, and bioavailable oil-soluble Vitamin C.
The packaging is nice. Grey marbelized outer boxes with gold metallic details. The YouthBost Diamond Eye Gel-Cream ($125.00 0.5 fl. oz.) we received for review has a frosted glass jar with a golden top. Curiously, no applicator was included.
This was surprising. It is a no-brainer to include an applicator since most skincare brands on the high end do include one. Why subject users to sticking their hands in a jar of cream possibly contaminating it?
On the other hand, the YouthBoost Diamond Eye Gel-Cream was light and pleasant to use. It left a refreshing, cooling feeling on my skin and felt quite elegant and pampering.
Diamond dust adds luminosity while the super-moisturizing caviar extract conditions the skin. A one-two punch is provided with moisturizing Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamins A and E add radiance. Tripeptide-5 and Ginko Biloba round out the key ingredients.
Thanks to Cirem’s Rapid Absorption Technology® the product absorbed quickly without any irritation or greasy residue, making it one of my new favorites
All the ingredients are listed on the website as well as on the packaging. Also nice to know that 10% of gross sales benefit women’s safe houses throughout the U.S. For more information visit Cirem.com
Pevonia’s Tinted SPF Cream:
Pevonia Botanica is another one of my favorite luxe spa-style skincare brands. Pevonia’s YouthRenew™ Tinted Cream SPF 30 ($53.50 1 fl. oz.) is a multi-tasking 5 in 1 Daily Defense Cream!
I posed it with some of my favorite seashells because Summer is coming, the days are getting longer, and you are exposed to the sun for more time (so SPF is a must-have every day).
The actives are 7% Titanium Dioxide and 4% Octinoxate that combine with skin-loving benefits (collagen, vitamin C, and green olive extracts to conceal and diminish lines and wrinkles) For everyday SPF 30 protection.
I love the curvaceous frosted glass pump bottle with a big mint green pump top. The entire presentation just feels elegant and spa-like.
There is a tint to this product. I wondered if the natural tint would be noticeable, but it blends in to simply help make your skin look better and to help reduce to look of large pores.
There is a very lovely (but fairly significant) floral fragrance. If fragrances don’t bother you, it’s all good–you are going to love the look of your skin, but better. Pevonia’s flash action unispheres deliver saccharides, lemon, and cucumber extracts to brighten skin in an instant in reality, just a few seconds).
Broad-spectrum SPF 30 protects from UVA/UVB rays. You can probably go without foundation on a casual day or wear your foundation over this product. No matter how you use it, Pevonia’s YouthRenew™ Tinted Cream SPF 30 is a great daily treat for your skin. For more information visit the Pevonia Web Site
Clean Beauty Eye Benefits:
These are stressful times. Maybe that’s why the Advice Sisters have been getting more eye cream suggestions than usual.
One of the skincare brands that intrigued us is the Suki Ultra-Protect Eye Balm-Night ($42 0.5 fl. oz.) Suki’s clean beauty formulas are vegan and certified cruelty-free
This ultra emollient cream offers benefits at night-time. Essential oils, antioxidants, Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Jojoba, Beeswax and coconut oil make short work of dryness and dehydration.
Suki’s proprietary complex includes ceramide lipid complex (sunflower oil, safflower and grape seed oils) plus Ultra-Protect Moisturizing complex with organic and fair-trade cocoa butter, coconut oil, beeswax, shea butter, Vitamin A and Tocopherol (Vitamin E).
The eye balm is yellow, which is kind of fun. In addition, it has a pleasing but pronounced herbal scent.
Suki skincare is supposedly ideal for sensitive skin and personally, I really like the fragrance. However, it might be an issue for those who are sensitive to fragrance natural or otherwise.
That said if you have concerns about fine lines and wrinkles, dark circles, free radical damage, and loss of firmness. Suki’s night cream might have you sleeping better and waking to feel a lot more confident. Visit the Suki Website
