No Time to Spa? Four Brands with luxe skincare products Bring the spa to you
We’ve reached the most exciting, but also the most stressful months of the year. Those who have the luxury of enjoying spa visits reap the benefits for body, mind and spirit.
Unfortunately, not everyone has the time or money for to Spa-aaah right now! However, we’ve gathered skincare from four spa-centric, fabulous brands that bring their spa-quality products to you for home use: Phytomer, PhytOceane, Fleur’s and Vie.
The Advice Sisters have reviewed plenty of products from all of these effective and upscale brands in the past (type the names into our search box and our reviews will appear). Each brand has a different focus.
Find the ones that interest you and invest in yourself with products that will last past the holidays. Of course, these skincare products also make welcome gifts for skincare lovers, or spa-fans, and just about everyone else (even the men in your life will like these).
An affordable (and new) little luxury to help relax you when the day or evening gets hectic is the Phytoceane Bora-Bora Sensory Bath. ($33.00 250 ml.). The turquoise and white plastic packaging hints of a beautiful day in a secluded lagoon — and that’s where you’ll find yourself when you use this bath product (or add some to a scrubby sponge in the shower).
The turquoise liquid foams slightly, and it’s the almond and vanilla scent that will ease your stress. *there is a moisturizer and a body scrub as well, should you want the entire set. Key ingredients include Rubimarin, an extract of the cultivated vegetal coral Jania Rubens to moisturize, seawater concentrate with trace elements and minerals to revitalize skin, and Oceania Saffron (from Polynesia) to provide soothing and antioxidant benefits. It’s not the same as a trip to Polynesia, but it’s certainly a sensational body product!
The dictionary description of the word “Phytomer” means an organic element of a flowering plant. With more than 40 years of experience in the spa industry, it seems a fitting description for Phytomer, one of our favorites for natural products with (sustainable) marine biotechnology — using mineral-rich botanicals from the sea (e.g. algae and seaweeds).
Looking for a very special product to pamper yourself with and perhaps, banish some fat cells? Try Phytomer’s Morpho Designer Contouring Crystal Emulsion $110.00 5 fl. oz.). Body contouring products are highly subjective and you really need to be dedicated to using them for results. Knowing Phytomer products as I do, if you want to try this new body sculpting product and you use it correctly, over time, it supposedly acts on 3 dimensions: contouring, firmness and hydration.
This cream in a blue, flip top tube white snow-white flip top lid, has liquid crystals that melt on the skin to hydrate, a brown algae for firming and reshaping and a red algae that promotes microcirculation for a draining effect. They key however is”Adipo-3,” Phytomer’s exclusive contouring technology to attack and weaken fat cells and keep them from coming back. Apply it twice daily (not suitable for anyone sensitive to iodine or who is pregnant) and who knows? In 2013 the Advice Sisters went crazy for Phytomer’s PIONNIERE XMF Perfection Youth Cream ($230.50 1.6 fl. oz.), full of exotic, advanced and youth-preserving ingredients, 100% natural and advanced ingredients that visibly smoothed wrinkles and plumped up skin (in just one hour) with the Phytomer Esclusive “EPS XMF.” This is a concentrate from a plankton micro-organism found off the coast of Brittany in France, in the Iroise Sea. This little organism produces a natural sugar that smooths the skin and also stimulates collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid production.
