SMELL HIM! Two Men’s Fragrance You Want on His Skin @VinceCamuto @Azzaro #MensFragrance #MensFashion

When you smell a lot of fragrance, you begin to understand that to be a successful scent, you have to create something new, and package it in a way that both collectors and consumers seeking yet another fragrance, will want to buy it.  And the scent has to be something you really want on your skin. Make the packaging great, make the scent, sensational, and oh yes…make it a fragrance that will last on your skin for a while. Then, you’ve got the perfect scent!

Two fashion oriented designer houses that really know what men want and they know how to package it, are Vince Camuto,  and Azzaro . For men who are looking for a new fragrance to add for Fall and for women hoping to get her special man to wear something new and different;  here are two exciting fragrances for men we know are winners!

If you are looking for something brand spanking new,  it’s got to be Chrome United By Azzaro inspired by a sense of authenticity, and of friendship, and for the man who appreciates all things “artisanal.”  The outer  carton is a combination of matte dusty blue with brushed metallic silver accents along with sides and top, corresponding to the herringbone pattern on the square cap and glass base of the flacon. The “Story” behind the fragrance is that there are four (urban) young men who are have adventures together and demonstrate the fun, excitement and strength of “brotherhood.”  They also know how to balance technology with “face time” and appreciate authenticity in all its forms. This might sound a bit over the top, but the point is that the fragrance has a component of adventure and excitement and a youthful (not teen) vibe. The bottle is elegant, expensive looking, and yet, has clean lines that showcase the marine blue juice within. The square topper cap is the distinctive, herringbone design that reminds me of an expensive tie. and the bottom of the clear, smooth glass bottle is also embossed with the herringbone design. But otherwise, the look is smooth and smart.  Holding this square, glass bottle feels substantial in the hand, as if you were holding a talisman.

The fragrance was crafted by Richard Ibanez of Robertet and as you can see from the photo above, there are some unusual key notes including bergamot, coriander, Ceylon black tea, and cedar wood. I tried this on my own skin at the launch event, and it stayed with me all night until I washed it off. For men, who aren’t going to “touch up” their fragrance, this is a bonus. But the scent is light and unique, not garish or fussy. Men who like clean, marine, woodsy and even green scents will find this one very pleasing. Some of the editors at the launch and I agreed that a woman could even wear it, perhaps layered with another fragrance. Isn’t the point to find something that is “authentic” and expresses your unique-ness? Chrome United will do it.

 Vince Camuto for Men

If you love Vince Camuto fragrances for women, you will not want to bypass Vince Camuto For Men. It is a new(ish) scent that launched in August 2012. The outer carton is a bold rectangle of soft metallic black rimmed with shiny silver detailing, with a bright blue inner liner. The bottle inside looks commanding and powerful, and it is literally, weighty. The substantial chunk of square glass is  topped with shiny pewter . Both the bottle and the topper are wrapped in black leather.  You can’t get more sophisticated but also macho, than that!  You can only see the juice inside, if you look at the bottom of the bottle. The heavy topper for the spray even has a commanding presence, closing with a distinctive (and luxurious), “click!” The Vince Camuto logo seal is prominently featured on the front of the bottle, over the black leather.

And the fragrance is sophisticated too, but it’s neither light or too heavy. Perfumer Harry Fremont got the balance, like the little bear’s porridge, “just right” The top begins with Italian bergamot and sparkling mandarin, mixed with black pepper. Lavender and nutmeg in the heart blends with sensual leather, to make this fragrance undeniably, masculine.  The bottom notes are classically masculine, featuring  woods, vetiver and patchouli, plus a rich musk.  The woodsy and sensual fragrance is a man’s equivalent of a “special occasion” fragrance, when he’s dressed up and ready to present himself well, whether it’s for a big meeting, or a big night out with his special someone.  If you’re that “special someone, get him a bottle as a gift and you’ll  get to enjoy the fragrance on him!
