We’re all for nail polish in pretty colors, but if a polish dries out our nails and makes them weak, brittle, and prone to breakage, that’s not a fashion statement!
Sally Hansen is a brand that has always helped us care for our nails. Now they’ve has developed a new Color Therapy Nail Polish infused with nourishing and hydrating argan oil that is part beautifying color, part nail treatment.
What’s New About Color Therapy?
Sally Hansen’s Color Therapy nail polish has an Argan-oil-rich formula to nourish nails, but it also doesn’t need a base coat, which saves you time. Without a barrier to you nails, the oil can penetrate in. We were promised 10 days of radiant, shiny finish with up to 10 days of fade-proof, chip-resistant wear but we’re also much harder on our hands and nails than most.
We didn’t really feel the need for a top coat but we added it anyway, which helped make these longer lasting.
What’s in the Polish?
Color Therapy blends a complex of natural argan, acai, and evening primrose oil to condition weak, dry nails. Argan oil contains high levels of unsaturated fatty acids, as well as vitamin E, an antioxidant vital for healthy skin and nails. Acai berry oil is rich in omega-3, 6, and 9 essential fatty acids that are valued for nutrition and conditioning in skin and hair care.
Evening primrose oil features essential fatty acids that are known to help reinforce hair strength.
What’s so Great About Argan Oil?
Argan oil has been considered a cosmetics beautifier for a long time because it is so nourishing to skin, hair and nails. It is made from green nuts of rare Argan tree found mostly in Morocco. Priced for its anti-aging anti-wrinkle properties, Argan Oil can also help quickly cure burns or other inflammatory bruises on skin.

The Nail Polish Colors:
Created in partnership with Global Color Ambassador, Madeline Poole, there are 38 colors in 3 distinct grouping offering something to please everyone. We got a chance to try six colors (see photo above). The number of coats you may need will vary but we found we needed two and sometimes three to get full coverage. The large, well-designed brush lets you swipe that color in one motion–great!
