I tried the Black Orchid & Velvet Hibiscus, which is available at mass retail and grocery stores nationwide beginning in August 2010. For starters, you get a large 18oz bottle for $3.50-$4.50 srp. which means you’re getting a lot more for your money than with many brands. The bottle, with nicely fitting flip top, is shaped like a tapered bullet. the plastic is clear so you can see the pearly, lavender-tinted liquid, within. There’s a nice purple label with a photograph of black orchids and a swirl of the cleanser, making the presentation look elegant (no “no frills” packaging to make you feel deprived of luxury).
Inside, the moisturizing body wash is scented with black orchid and real hibiscus extract, plus a natural skin conditioner, to soothe, silken and scent your skin with something lovely. If your skin is sensitive you’ll like the fact that this is a soap-free formula and it;s dermatologist tested. The rich, creamy gel foams nicely. take this product out of it’s bottle and in a blind test of body washes, you’d pick this one out as a luxury one.
So remember: it’s not the bag you bring it home in, or the bottle that sits on your shelf that really matters, but the quality of the product, within. If you’re on a budget, or even if you’re not, these new SoftSoap body washes will bring you days of satisfaction!
