As I write this, at least in some parts of the country masking has come back in a big way. Whether you agree with it or not, one thing I know is that lipstick-wearing was joyfully greeted when masks were off. But if you don’t want to wear your lips bare to keep masking from messing up your lipstick, I have found some solutions from a small beauty company called: The Gentle Beauty.
The Gentle Beauty enhances a natural look. But in this story, I am focusing on some of their easy-to-love lip products. To say that they are face-savers is an understatement! I love these lip products for so many reasons.
The Hydrating Lip Tint hydrates with unscented and tinted fruity and vanilla-scented lip glosses. The multi-tasking Lip & Cheek Tint and the Ph-activated Jelly balm add color that (once dry) sticks around for hours without smudging or fading.
The Gentle Beauty Lip Oil:
This lip gloss is a non-sticky, silky balm dispensed with a large, soft Q-tip-shaped sponge wand. It’s a non-sticky and hydrating gloss with the merest hint of a tint that is unscented or smells like chocolate, watermelon, or peach. Ours in chocolate looks brown in the tube but really is mostly clear and super shiny.
Apart from merely polishing your pout, sunflower oil smooths, argan oil nourishes and helps heal dry and chapped lips. Plus here is Coconut oil to moisturize and Jojoba oil to protect and lock in moisture.
The Gentle Beauty Lip and Cheek Tint could be the answer to your prayers when it comes to a product that adds blendable color that just won’t quit. My sample in “Burgundy” looked nearly black in the bottle, but it is actually a great burgundy that’s not too heavy-handed. Dab a bit on your cheeks and (quickly) blend it in for long-lasting blush, too.
If Burgundy isn’t your thing there is also pink, cherry-red, and orange-red. They’re waterproof, transfer-proof, smudge-proof, and definitely mask-proof! Cherry red smells like watermelon. Pink smells like strawberry. Orange Red and Burgundy are unscented.
Whether you wear lip colors or not, exfoliating your skin is a must-do to keep it healthy. The same holds true for your lips.
The Gentle Beauty sugar and cinnamon lip plumping scrub exfoliates the surface of the lips and stimulates blood using organic ingredients such as brown sugar, cinnamon, and oils. The little pot of scrub is a bit oily thanks to avocado and coconut oil to moisturize. The brown sugar exfoliates more gently so you don’t irritate dry, cracked lips even more. Cinnamon is a natural lip plumper that stimulates blood flow.
Avocado oil contains vitamins such as A, D, and E.
It also has beta carotene, protein, lecithin, fatty acids that are really good for your lips
While I don’t think you need to massage this onto your lips for 5-10 minu.es as suggested, if you have the time, that’s fine. Otherwise, just massage it into your lips until you feel the scrub sort of “dissolve” and enjoy the scent” Use only once or twice a week and you’ll have better looking, clean, soft lips!
