M-A-C Cosmetics is a trendy company with products that are high performance, but also appeal to a wide variety of demographics. They’ve always collaborated with celebrities, so this is just on in a line of collections featuring a pop star. The English singer and multi-instrumentalist Ellie Goulding released her debut studio album, Lights, in 2010. Goulding’s second studio album, Halcyon, was released in October 2012. In December 2015, she received her first Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Solo Performance for her single “Love Me like You Do” Her sexy, pop style has brought many of her songs to the top of the charts. The movie, 60 Shades of Grey, featured her song “Love Me Like You Do” which includes clips of both the star singing the song and dancing, is interspered with clips from the 50 Shades of Grey movie. I’ve included the Ellie Goulding “Love Me Like You Do” video at the very end of this feature, so keep reading.

My Take on is that the Ellie Goulding Collection will wow you, or might pass it by just from photos. But don’t! The soft and golden collection certainly suits the blonde singer and a few pieces of this collection can perk up that nearly faded tan or very pale complexion during the colder months. M-A-C- Cosmetics makes collections to suit different skin tones and personalities. This (somewhat) sun-kissed collection is worth a serious look. Collectors will be delighted that the gold triangle with EG logo is not just on the outer packaging, but also emblazoned on the compacts. These are already collector’s items.
The Halycon face palettes are particularly great for travel, The “Day” palette features cool-toned shades of four Cream Colour Bases and a Blot Powder while the “Night” palette features warm-toned shades of four Eye Shadows and a Cream Colour Base. I tried the Halcyon Days that have a subtle shimmer except for the moist but matte pink “Every Time You Go.”

Lustre Drops are not new(we reviewed them in 2011) but the brushes are unique with subtle, shiny, rose-gold ferrules holding the shiny black handles of these brushes. They make you feel pampered, elegant and special and if you need basic brushes, these are perfectly shaped. While, for some reason, I couldn’t’ find out what the bristles are made of, feeling them I’m guessing they are cruelty-free synthetic. If you need to know, ask at a M-A-C counter or boutique.

I almost never say negative things about products, because what I am not so keen on, another person is going to adore. As someone who needs color on her lips, I find these just a bit too bland for my taste. However, if you like nude lips, these give you a great choice
