No matter where you are, taking care of your skin should be a priority. But weekend totes only hold so much. Who wants to decide between packing that extra pair of cute sandals, and skincare items? If you plan to fly, TSA regulations restrict the size and amount of liquids you can take on board a plane. and luggage weight restrictions can make lugging a lot of bottles and jars, a costly liability if you check a bag. Luckily, DNA EFG Renewal, known for powerful anti-aging skincare, offers a DNA Travel Companion Kit ($65.00) that tucks four must-have skincare items into a nice, travel bag.
DNA skincare was created by dermatologist Dr. Ronald Moy. While not all dermatologists make great products, these are high performance and high tech and have the potential to make a difference in how your skin looks and feels. The products work hard to target signs of aging by diminishing wrinkles, brown spots and skin discoloration. DNA EGF skincare was created by dermatologist Dr. Ronald Moy. In case you’re wondering what EGF means, it’s Barley Epidermal Growth Factor. The name sounds impressive, and actually, it is! It is touted by DNA EFG as being the first and only plant-based Epidermal Growth Factor.
In case you are wondering what the Epidermal Growth Factor is, as far as I can discern, it is an ingredient (or cocktail thereof) that penetrates deeply to stimulate cell growth. DNA EFG Renewal’s EGF is derived from barley grown in pure waters, and natural volcanic pumice soil. The company claims it is: “stable, potent and effective EGF.” Far be it from me, to argue!
The DNA, EFG Travel Companion Kit comes in a nice, zippered, unisex-styled bag to hold travel sizes of the following:
DNA Renewal Foaming Cleanser – For AM and PM, gently cleanse and prime skin (1.7 oz.)
DNA Intensive Renewal – Refine tone and texture, repair and hydrate skin (0.33 oz.)
DNA Night Renewal – For PM use, regenerate, repair and hydrate (0.5 oz.)
DNA Defense SPF 30+ – For AM use, daytime UVA and UVB sun protection (1 oz.)
The DNA Defense SPF 30+ in a tube, provides broad spectrum protection from the sun’s damaging rays. The creamy, but not creasy tube of SPF protection offers a sheer (non-whitening– micro-fine zinc) that reflects and scatters harmful UV light. Actives are: Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate (7.5%); Oxybenzone (4%); Zinc Oxide (3%) and Phenylbenzamiadazole Sulfonic Acid (2%). It also has anti-oxidant benefits of Vitamin A & E, and is good for all skin types. 1 fl. oz outside of the kit, is $45.00
DNA Renewal Foaming Cleanser is good morning and night, to gently cleanse and prime skin. The foaming formula provides a non-irritating version of glycolic acid, offering gentle exfoliation that removes old, dull, surface dead skin cells. The white, plastic, pump bottle dispenses the naturally-derived, sulfate-free, cleansing agent, good for all skin types. I love foaming cleansers, and this one is perfectly pleasant. A 1.7 fl. oz outside of the kit is $28.00
DNA Intensive Renewal to refine tone and texture skin during the day, and also help to repair and hydrate. It is one of the powerhouses of the kit. This impressive anti-aging cream is amazingly lightweight, but features the highest levels of DNA Repair Enzymes, and a liposome delivery system, to help aging, stressed skin, using the skin’s natural DNA repair processes. Key ingredients are engineered from marine and botanical sources including : Hibiscus Peptide: This active extract enhances the Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF-2) activity in the skin by mimicking the skin’s natural protective function against the deterioration of the extra-cellular matrix; Rapeseed Sterols: Provides highly effective moisture barrier protection against loss of hydration in the skin; Salicornia Herbacaea Extract: This highly refined, ultra-hydrating extract boosts the moisture level in the skin; Alba Flower: Helps soothe the inflammation associated with hyper-pigmentation and age spots; and; Nonapeptide-1: This effective skin lightening peptide works to reduce the production of melanin, to prevent and lighten hyper-pigmentation, while restoring an even skin tone. I can’t say whether or not you’ll get amazing results because I didn’t use it long enough. The .33 fl. oz. tube in this kit is travel-sized, but should last about a week or two, depending upon how much you use. The full sized product (1 fl. oz.) is $125.00. If you want to try the product, the travel kit makes a good trial, for a lot less than the cost of the single tube.
DNA Night Renewal is the night follow up to the daytime use of DNA Intensive Renewal. It is also pricey, in a full sized (1 oz.) tube, but the 0.5 oz. tube in the travel kit will give you a good idea of how this product, works. As with the daytime product, this one uses the skin’s natural DNA repair processes to provide hydration, and help combat the effects of aging. The rich lotion features a liposome delivery system that maximizes cell repair activity as you sleep. It has high levels of bio-advanced DNA Repair Enzymes, peptides, and botanical actives, and is a particular boon to stressed or dry skin. In addition, Spanish lavendar and Tetrapeptides help prevent the formation of age spots, skin thinning, and wrinkles. A product that can do all this while you get your beauty rest, is definitely a good thing!
