Looking for a splurge-worthy gift idea, or a treat for yourself? Arbonne is offering five newest products – an anti-aging ultra-hydrating day crème, fruit and chocolate nutrition bars, an Omega-3 vegan supplement, energy promoting fizz sticks and a limited-edition Rainforest inspired eye shadow palette set.
For those who love color, the limited edition, Arbonne® Cosmetics Treasures Of The Rainforest Cosmetic Set (Available April – July 2012) is a true treasure of the season! It may be a bit pricey at $109.00, but it features on-trend colors for eyes and lips (plus a nifty clutch bag) to take you easily through the Spring and Summer and into Fall 2012.
Arbonne is all about anti-aging and good-for-your-skin ingredients, so the key ingredients in the Eye Shadows include polypeptides, cucumber extract, mallow extract, and vitamins A, C, E ; while the Lipstick features moisturizing and anti-aging wild mango butter, pomegranate extract, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, vitamins A, C and E. Also good to know is that every new Arbonne® product is vegan-certified and formulated without animal products, animal by- products, gluten, parabens, formaldehyde-donating preservatives, PABA and the following petroleum-based ingredients: Benzene, Mineral Oil, Petrolatum, Phthalates and Toluene. Arbonne is cruelty free and does not test any product on animals.
The Treasures of the Rainforest offers good-for-your-skin nourishment and fashionable color, plus a fun to wear, eye-popping, faux suede and faux leather clutch bag. The products are good for all skin types, and if you absolutely need to know every single ingredient, they’re listed on the web site. I love the eye shadows and the lipstick, but the bag really makes the set worth the extra “moola.” The bag is zippered and satin-lined, and large enough for a day on the town. Two large tassels tethered with large gold “A’s” swing from the sides of the fold-over clutch. It reminds me of something from the 1960’s, maybe from “Laugh In” (remember that show?) or a rock concert in the Haight!
The eye shadow quartet of colors are intense and earthy, but blend-able. The compact is so special, it arrives in a velvet bag. This limited edition cosmetic collection features slightly shimmery, on-trend colors inspired by nature, called: Waterfall, Passionflower, Bamboo and Earth (translated: deep teal, copper/bronze, purple, and light gold). These colors look very deep in the compact, but they’re blendable to a softer wash of color. The blue and the purple are also perfect for liners and as shadows and the gold and coppery/bronze are going to really flatter a tan. But, come Fall, they’ll still compliment everything you wear (so they’re a good investment if you don’t like to purchase a lot of new products). My favorites are the intense purple “Passionflower” and the deep teal called “Waterfall” because they also help you create the new, intense, dual-toned all around the eye looks shown on the runways and in fashion magazines. *You’ll also get a “lookbook” with half a dozen ways to use all that gorgeous color in case you need a bit of a jump start on ideas.
The “Nectar” lipstick is a moistly matte formula that is silky and long lasting. The color is very intense and opaque, but the orange is tempered with a bit of red, so it flatters nearly every complexion. I like the slim-line compact that makes application a one-swipe operation. It’s a great way to wear the “citrus” trend without looking garish. Even if you’ve been a bit risk averse, try it and you’ll see a chic, new you!
