Yellow Diamonds are a Girls Best Gem:
Yellow diamonds have a special allure. Just ask Jennifer Lopez. Her husband, Marc Anthony, presented her with an eight-carat canary diamond ring after the birth of their twins. And she’s not the only celebrity who loves yellow. Paris Hilton had a big canary diamond engagement ring and Kid Rock gave Pamela Anderson a canary ring with heart-shaped side stones totaling 18 carats that had an estimated value of $750,000.
While those relationships weren’t as sunny as the diamonds, Jennifer Anniston has a 9.5 carat canary diamond ring reportedly worth $500,000, and Heidi Klum wears a 10 carat, fancy yellow diamond set in a canary pavé band from husband, Seal.
Relationships Fade, Versace Vellow Diamonds is A Gem of a fragrance
These relationships faded. But Versace Yellow Diamond is still a “gem” of a fragrance!
You might not have the cool, $300,000 and that Anthony spent on J-Lo’s diamond, let alone Kid Rock’s “rock” for Pamela. However, but you can enjoy the pretty, Yellow Diamond fragrance by Versace. The name alone is synonymous with glamour.
Donatella Versace apparently named Yellow Diamond because that’s her favorite signature adornment. She apparently was inspired by a more elegant era What does the smell of high fashion, money, and glamour smell like? It is just what you’d expect: sexy, yet feminine.
Before you get to the striking bottle and the fragrance within, savor the beauty of the outer carton. It’s festooned in glossy, lemon yellow with a vintage Baroque-ish design of gold metallic flourishes and scrolls. Inside is the perfume gem for collectors. It’s a clear, elegant, chunk of glass for the bottle. However, this one has a striking, clear yellow, oval, faceted topper.
The Notes (How Does It Smell)?
But it is what is inside the bottle that most people will purchase Yellow Diamond for. The fragrance isn’t quite as spectacular as the presentation but you’ll like the fruity floral fragrance that lasts on your skin. It is significant enough for cool weather. But you’ll still want to wear it when the mercury, rises. The notes start with citron, pear sorbet, bergamot, and neroli.
These top notes are fruity for the most part, but they don’t knock you over with citrus, nor are they cheaply sweet. They’re surprisingly soft and nicely blended. The heart has orange blossom, freesia, mimosa, and nymphaea. These are romantic floral notes (especially noticeable is the mimosa), but they’re also tempered by the drydown –one of sensual, ambery woods, palo santo wood, and refined musk.
My personal experience with Versace Yellow Diamond was that after fruits and flowers disappeared it was softly reminiscent of green tea. What appears to be one thing, might really be another. This fragrance will appeal to young women. But it has sophistication, Therefore it’s also going to appeal to more mature people, too.
A 1 oz Eau de Toilette is $50.00; 1.7 oz is $67.00, 3 fl. oz. is $88.00. The auxiliary Body Lotion or Bath & Shower Gel are each $42.00. Both the bath and shower gel add a nice amount of layer-ability to the fragrance, and I like using them separately, as well for when I just want to enjoy the fragrance, for a short while.
Yellow Diamond can be an everyday scent, or special occasion “go-to.” You can find Yellow Diamond at Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Dillards, Lord & Taylor and Sephora stores, nationwide.
