It is the end of February, the shortest month of the year, but Spring isn’t here yet! You can serve a hot and tasty meal in minutes, thanks to the Chef’ Collection of Victoria Fine Foods.

Not having to deal with multiple pots and pans, waiting until the pasta boils, and then dealing with the sauce separately, is the easiest way to serve pasta that I’ve ever found.
Convenience vs. Taste?

The Advice Sisters Beauty and Style received a jar of the Victoria Chef Collection penne alla vodka. The instructions simply said to pour, heat and serve!
Arriving with our jar of pasta was a microwaveable bowl and a fork, the message was clear: just nuke it and eat it.
Tasting and Testing:
I didn’t tell my testers that I was serving pasta from a jar. I added a salad to make this more of a meal, or you could serve it to a family of four as a side dish.
The pasta was heated up before I even finished the salad. I made two plates and we sat down to dinner.
I expected the pasta to be tough or mushy, especially since it was microwaved. But it was firm and fresh and the sauce was tasty and not too sweet.
Everyone liked it…a lot!
What’s In It?
According to the press literature, the Victoria Fine Foods Chef Collection Penne Alla Vodka: is penne pasta in a vodka sauce made with whole plum tomatoes, real cheese, fresh onions, basil and garlic.
The Penne Marinara which we didn’t try is a combination of penne pasta with marinara sauce made with whole plum tomatoes, fresh onions, basil and garlic.
The Verdict:
Don’t slave over a hot stove to produce a fine meal — Victoria Fine Foods offers, as advertised, real food, not freeze-dried or frozen, ore pre-prepared as on airplanes.
