At the SPANX lounge during fashion week, I got a chance to see an entire suite-ful of new items. Some are on the market now, some will be available later in the year, or next year. Before you snicker, consider. It’s a competitive world out there and men want to be in it to win it, too. With jobs increasingly difficult to find, secreting a roll of not-too-lovely fat under a suit might be the difference between a “yea” and a “nay.” And why shouldn’t men do whatever they can to look their best?
While it might take some getting used to when it comes to wearing a body shaper (or taking it off), men are looking for solutions, and SPANX is providing it. The tees, in black or white, are actually much more flattering than the ordinary, cotton variety, and can be worn as outerwear as well. Maybe it is a temporary fix, but WE do it, so why not the guys?
Spanx was created by Sara Blakely when she realized that she didn’t have the right undergarment to wear under white pants (who hasn’t been there??). If I remember correclty, their designers are women who understand how a woman’s body works and feels. You can buy other body shapers, but they won’t be SPANX . They simply make the largest and most comfortable, well designed body shapers on the market.
I’ll admit that I don’t always like the fit or feel of most body shapers, but SPANX has continually surprised me –their body shaper just do the job, without pain or frustration. They fit well and look great! You can get cheaper products (and SPANX does have it’s own, very good and affordable ASSETS line), but they won’t be SPANX.
